She was finally there. The feeling that had been guiding her all this time was at its strongest. The prize she sought was within her reach now, no longer hopping from place to place. She was no longer chasing down her food. This time, she would get to eat her fill. The blast of light that momentarily filled the sky was noted, but not really a concern. May be it would've been before, but now? Now there was nothing to fear. Light held no sway anymore. Her head peeked over the edge into the throne room first, followed shortly by the rest of her, suspended by eight paper thin "legs". She didn't see any familiar faces, though those that expected something like Zeigess or the original beast from the Twilight Realm would be met with a sight they didn't expect. The paper-thin shadows clutched the form of a young girl with silver white hair and red eyes; the signs of a Sheikah for those in the know. To Zelda, it hearkened back to the news she'd received from Jace that set her off to Ordon in the first place. The Sheikah had been wiped out. Was she a survivor, or merely someone influenced by the thing that wiped out the Sheikah? Either seemed plausible, with the pulsing red veins writhing underneath her skin, encroaching on each of her limbs and the side of her face. Her gaze was immediately fixated on Alex's shadow as soon as she caught sight of it, and four of these tendrils split and extended from her sleeve to enter said shadow. Their target? Midna, and pulling her out of her hiding spot. She lowered herself down to touch down on the floor of the throne room, and as she did so a black and red substance began to spread from her feet outwards. It was a thick liquid, flowing comparable to lava but it did not give off heat. However, much like her body, it did give off black and red trails of fog that quickly vanished into the air. It also expanded quickly despite what it's slow looking "flow" might tell you. What was originally a small puddle beneath her feet quickly grew, exponentially growing larger, flowing off the edge of the castle in areas that it hit the edge and continuing to claim precious ground in the throne room. "Come to me, my tasty treat...once you're inside me, I might finally feel full~" she spoke aloud, while not addressing her directly, it was clearly aimed at the Twili Princess she was trying to fish out of the shadow. She didn't even really seem to acknowledge anybody else in the room. Nor did the growing swamp of black and red discriminate. The round will reset 48 hours from now. THERE IS NO POSTING ORDER, BUT YOU MAY POST ONLY ONCE BEFORE THE BOSS. This is not a boss fight you want to strike out on. Even moreso than usual.
While everyone acted smartly to enter the blindspots of the attack, it did not save the remains of the knights that fought before. It did not save the remnants of the once mighty throne of Hyrule. It also did not save the support pillars keeping the roof above their head, as the majority of them had been wiped out by the blast. With nothing to keep it suspended, the roof and upper remains of the tower began to collapse, some of the wreckage falling into the throne room itself but with the way it fell, the majority of it fell through the air towards Castle Town. It take out one of the corners of the throne room though, limiting their room to fight some. Without missing a beat, as the two half weapons began attempting to attack, Morrigan began to parry. The attacks that targeted an area protected by armor were entirely ignored, clanging harmlessly off her gleaming silver breastplate. Those that targeted an unarmored area were promptly batted away with ease. It was almost as if she could predict where each attack would go, despite Zelda's best attempts at feinting and faking her out. However, Zelda would also notice the glow of Morrigan's sword was much dimmer now than it had been before she started preparing the most recent blast. In the ensuing flurry, an arrow flew into the fray, though it collided harmlessly against Morrigan's gauntlet. Her hands were entirely encased in metal, and it served her well. With the arrival of a woman covered in shadows though, Morrigan's demeanor changed. Without even visually acknowledging the new girl's presence, her eyes sharpened, her grip tightened, and her expression was one that showed even she understood danger. With two solid strikes, she shattered the remnants of Zelda's weapon into two piles of largely useless fragments of metal. She couldn't afford this game anymore. Turning on her heel to face the new arrival, she immediately understood. The small curved dagger from before manifested in her left hand, now removed from her sword's hilt, and Morrigan's body had vanished in an instant. No trace of her remained, save the small amount of blood still lingering on Seyka's sword, now slowly trickling down the edge of the blade. No one could say what she was up to now, except the woman herself. Alexander Elessar Link Midna Princess Zelda Seyka Rozengale ADMIN NOTE: So now you too have a choice before you! It seems that Morrigan has decided being detectable is for chumps, and while the immediate threat to Zelda has turned invisible, the immediate threat to Midna is all-too-visible and also trying to eat her. [attr="class","ohlove"] both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. In hindsight, he would have picked the dragon.
Midna's warning was enough to take his attention off of Morrigan entirely. That was it? But it was a girl, and it wasn't grey. But that little slip was enough to tip her off, and so far she'd merely kept information from him, rather than outright lie. She had others who corroborated the story. Really, the truth was if Fress hadn't made such a fool of himself, he'd probably be thinking that he'd been bamboozled by the Twilight Princess. Leave it to the most unexpected person to keep things together, huh? But it did lead to an uncomfortable realization. "... It's been following you." It attacked Ordon after they left Ordon. It attacked Kakariko after they left Kakariko. Now here it was, having come all this way for her.
So when remembered Morrigan, he turned his head to keep tabs on her, before noticing her just suddenly vanish. It didn't take much to realize what she'd done. "Form up around Zelda!" He commanded the two knights. Well, one wasn't a knight, and he couldn't command them, but that wasn't his problem right now. The knights, well, knight and the country bumpkin really, needed to focus on Zelda, whereas he had a Twilight Princess to actually save and not punt into a river for once. He flipped his knife back into its sheath.
As the tendrils headed towards his shadow, he unsheathed his Magic Sword, the blade already blue, and flung the blast at the tendrils to cut them away and keep them off Midna. So now they were being swamped by a country leveling mass murderer and a super assassin that could fight the Hero of Time. Wasn't that just great? "This girl right here is responsible for Ordon, Kakariko, and the Capital. Not only that, but she brought another realm to its knees." He remarked, "But I'm guessing asking you to take half a second to blow her away is too much to ask?"
At least he figured that much light would kill something that was... what the fuck was she doing with that sludge? Alex took a couple steps back towards Zelda and the others to put some distance between him, the swamp, and the woman who seemed to be conjuring it. Right, this place was going to be swamped in a minute. "You ever consider that maybe to get a revolution going that you should save the fucking kingdom first? Put the horse before the goddamn cart?" But he doubted Morrigan would listen. The woman was clearly insane. --Rather than a thoughtless beast bent on devouring them all, Zelda found herself confronted by a sheikah girl that she might even describe as cute--also intent on devouring them all. ...Or maybe just Midna? The way she laced her words of hunger with tones of affectionate desire made Zelda's stomach churn and her chest tighten with anxiety. She involuntarily squirmed a bit where she stood, her expression twisting with confusion discomfort. What in her own namesake was going on with this girl?! --...And why was her tongue once again tied?? Was it that tone of voice that was freaking her out? That girl was going to kill Midna! She couldn't get nervous just because this shadow... sheikah... thing used a weird tone to threaten such! Or at least, she was pretty sure the murder was implied anyway. Zelda was starting to suspect her mind of taking the most damage out of anyone in this fight. Keep it together, woman! Your people were depending on you! Worse yet, Morrigan had vanished! She didn't trust that Morrigan was gone at all.
"She doesn't belong to you." Zelda murmured under her breath whilst shooting Nimue a glare. Even Seyka might have a hard time making out what she'd said. The princess didn't appreciate her royal guest being picked on for reasons previously stated.
Thankfully Zelda's judgment was on point. Being clocked over the head with a falling stone block would be a decidedly anti-climactic way to go. She quickly moved to take Seyka Rozengale's hand in hers, giving it a tug to get her attention. She was confident the other would follow her, and so she retreated with Seyka to where the roof and walls had already collapsed earlier to minimize their risk of getting hurt. She had an awful feeling she'd soon need to start using the debris to stay above whatever that icky stuff was spreading across the ground if it kept spreading like that. A cloud of dust was kicked up as some debris hit the ground and Zelda briefly held her breath to avoid breathing in a particularly thick blast of it as it passed over her. ...Hold on--That gave her another idea.
The princess shifted to take Seyka's hands with both of hers. She had such a gentle grasp, but it was what had found its way into her hands that was perhaps more interesting. A glimmering golden bow was being thrust into Seyka Rozengale's hands. Zelda met the other woman's eyes, her azure gaze distressed but focused. "Draw the string and an arrow of light will manifest itself for you. Wait for my call." Zelda quickly instructed, only letting Seyka go once she'd clearly voiced her intentions. She wanted Seyka to take her bow, but also to wait for her call to shoot. There was a very important reason for that second bit.
She'd just figured out how to expose Morrigan.
Once again putting her telekinesis to work, Zelda began to lift all the little pebbles and fragments of stone that had been displaced by the collapsing castle. Twisting and twirling her hands about themselves, she began to shape a vortex of pebbles around herself and Seyka--probably Link too if he chose to join up with them like Alex suggested. Little rocks rotated around them at increasing speeds as she got better control of the miniature pebble storm. And then, she spread the storm outward. High, low, all around really. Pebbles shot wildly across the room in a circular arc around her like rain in a storm, threatening to--Well, they didn't actually threaten to do any meaningful harm to anyone unless they happened to smack someone in the eye. But they served a more important purpose.
Zelda was scanning the pebbles for something invisible but still quite large and solid that they couldn't simply pass through. Something they'd bounce off or perhaps be batted away from, creating a very noticeable disruption in their flow that she could easily pick up from a glance when she knew what she was looking for. That had to be Morrigan.
"There!" Zelda instructed, making her call for Seyka to shoot. She focused her outstretched arms out at where she believed Morrigan was, marking her position for her allies. |

SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU Out of the proverbial frying pan into the proverbial fire! Just when they thought Morrigan was bad news bears – out of nowhere an unexpected guest arrives at the scene. The new arrival appeared to be a sheikah woman with a black and red accented dress that appeared… animated? Blood red eyes were focused on Midna. Just when they thought they had enough problems on their hands. But there was no rest for the wicked or the overly zealous knights railroaded on vengeance. Today was just a bad day. A nd then Morrigan disappeared. By the power of Din, the frustrations only continued to pile up. Truly the fates were playing a sick joke on them. “Eh?” she gasped suddenly feeling a slender palm on her wrist. Next thing she knew, the greenette was being dragged by the very princess she was supposed to be protecting. Seyka knew this was a dire situation but she couldn’t help but grimly mull over: Is this also manhandling day and I missed the memo?“Link! Move,” she cried out, praying he would follow suit. What was happening in the midst of the chaos felt like it was only going to get much worse. She didn’t like how Nimue kept on grinning keeping her predator eyes on the Twilight Princess. But Morrigan was still on the loose. She couldn’t leave Princess Zelda unattended. Speaking of, she quickly sheathed her sword and clasped her shield back onto her strap as a golden bow was placed into her hands. Eyes drawn back over to the Monarch of Hyrule, she nodded her head. Seyka steadied her footing as she drew back the bow. Radiant energy began to form and solidified into an arrow made out of pure light. She focused on the direction where the Princess had been looking. The seconds felt like an eternity as more magic was performed. A whirl of small debris spun around them in a wall of wind and pebbles. Steady... Steady... Steady...The moment Zelda’s voice rang true, Seyka released the arrow letting it fly true into the direction where she believed she saw the disrupted flow of air current. tag: WAGA ARU G, Alexander Elessar, Link, Midna, Princess Zeldanotes: Pew, pew, pew~ I'LL SOAR THE ENDLESS SKIES FOR ONLY ONE SIGHT OF YOUR STARLIGHT

Children frolicking by the forest's outskirts in Ordon. Merchants moving freely through Kakariko. Citizens living their lives to the fullest in the town outside of the castle. Another realm entirely torn asunder. All because of one woman?
The world went quiet.
Numbness, he supposed, was a welcome relief in the redness that filled his vision. The weight of the bow no longer registered in his hand. Memories of a smile, of soft laughter and the kindest eyes he'd ever seen, flooded into ever crevice of his being. She was gone because of this woman. Gone, gone, gone.
Ilia was gone.
...his life was gone.
Oh, he moved alright. He moved with purpose, widened eyes consumed with rage and purpose. But not toward Zelda or Seyka or their protection of pebbles, or plan of striking Morrigan with a light arrow. Not toward Alex who tried to cut the tendrils to keep Midna safe from being pulled out. No, he charged directly at Nimue, using fallen debris to avoid as much of the strange red ooze as possible.
The blade glowed so brightly when he brought it out. Tears clouded his sight, his mouth twisted in a sneer that soon contorted farther with a yell of adrenaline-fueled anger. His village, his friends, his home, their lives - how could she have taken them all away from him?!
Kill. He wanted to kill her. He wanted to rip her heart from her chest and crush it before her eyes.
What a terrifying realization that was.
It would most likely be for moot, sadly, because even as he thrust forward to attempt to run the diminutive woman through, he doubted she'd allow him to get close enough to land a hit. All he could do was hope that his speed and strength were enough to carry him, and that by some small miracle, her focus on Midna would leave her distracted.

Maybe this wasn't the creature that attacked her people but it sure as hell was related. It's tendrils snaked into the shadows and seemed to want to pull her out... and eat her. That made Midna a bit creeped out. Why was she the target in all of this?
Morrigan had vanished, she noticed, but to be honest she was of no concern to Midna. Midna had to focus on Nimue, and so she used her broken sword and psychokinesis to slash at any tendrils Alex may have missed. She was NOT coming out of this shadow with light magics around!

The tendrils reaching for Midna were cut by the combined efforts of said princess and her Sort-Of-Knight-Protector. The lengths that momentarily reached into the shadow were cut and faded into black fog, but from the bases they regenerated almost immediately and continued their intended assault. Nimue's gaze remained fixed on the shadow as the swamp expanded rapidly, taking up more of the available ground in the throne room. Due to their somewhat proximity, Alex would be the first to have their space encroached by the swamp. As the black and red ooze flowed on and around his feet, it...did nothing. It was basically like a thin mud, something like an actual swamp but a little easier to move through. It had a similar consistency to a liquid, but was a bit more solid. With this proximity though, it felt....alive. Uncomfortably so. The way it felt when in contact with the body was almost like standing in a pit of slithering snakes. Every flow and passage of the substance felt like something was below the depths and at the surface at the same time. But, for the moment, it did not seem to cause any harm. Despite Link's best efforts to avoid stepping in it, he wouldn't be able to completely avoid it. But it did not harm him when he did step in it, so there was a lucky break there. As he let out his roar of anger, Nimue's gaze momentarily turned to him and her head tilted slightly to the side with a confused look on her face. "Eeeh?" she breathed the light noise of confusion as she saw it happen, and then her vision would turn strangely sideways. A golden blade cleaved through her neck in a single swipe, as Morrigan appeared behind Nimue. Her head fell from her body to the swamp with a soft thud, which offered a momentary distraction for Link to run the light-infused blade through her chest. This tag-team assault seemed to trigger a change, as the tendrils pursuing Midna retreated and those on her host began to act. From the bloody stump something began to form, and even while decapitated, the body still moved. The tendrils over her torso moved to reveal her bare body beneath, and her arms moved to grab the Hylian and pull him in. From the points of contact with her hands, his body began to burn. His clothes, armor, and whatever other belongings were to be found on his back would find themselves turning into a fine red liquid that was promptly absorbed through her hands, and his face would be the first to make contact with the girl's torso. His hair and face would momentarily begin to dissolve before that same golden blade cleaved through the girl's left arm, and the boy would be removed from contact with her and thrown off quite a distance to the side. However, the sword he wielded was left piercing through the girl's torso. [ Link Semi-Dissolved/Burnt Hair, Face, and Back on skin level; MINOR damage; disarmed of Keldric's sword, and any items or armor damaged by the attack on his back] The light powered sword seemed to last for a moment, but the remaining right hand of the girl grabbed the hilt, which promptly began to dissolve. The blade, too, dissolved from within her torso, and as the blade was moved while still in her by that right hand, the rest quickly dissolved as well. Just like that, the remaining relic of Keldric to remind of his involvement in Ordon was gone. And for the dismemberment and decapitation the girl suffered, it seemed for naught. Her head and left arm regenerated from their bloodied stumps, though her hair was notably missing its pink ribbon. At least for the moment. As the removed limb and head dissolved into nothingness in the swamp, the ribbon was reformed in her hair just as it was before. The damage to the dress from the attack on her arm was also completely restored, leaving her appearing as fresh as she was moments before. This did get her attention off Midna though, and so she looked to the others in the room as well. The swamp at this point had extended to take up the entire space of the throne room, and while none were harmed by it, the mere presence would be unnerving. What did it do, if not damage them? Her eyes lightly gazed at Link, but didn't seem too interested. Then Seyka. Then Alex, seeming to forget the presence of Midna for the moment, and then to Zelda. Something here caught her interest. Almost like quick sand, Nimue sank into the swamp of her creation, seeming to vanish into its foot-high depths without a trace. "Aren't you Princess Zelda? Your knights are pretty tasty you know..." the girl's voice came from the swamp just beneath Zelda, who at this moment would be lying on her back in its contents with a gaping stab wound in her torso. The blood dripped into the swamp, and a gasp of ecstasy and delight came from the swamp, "Your blood is pretty tasty too....I wonder how the rest of you is~"Black and red tendrils emerged from multiple locations simultaneously. At least ten emerged near Alex and once again renewed their assault on Midna within his shadow. Another ten emerged to attempt to bind the Hylian Princess. And for Alex and Seyka? A massive arm made of the same liquid as the swamp would emerge near each of them, attempting to grab them and restrain them in their hands. It seemed Link had been left alone for the moment. Nimue herself would emerge from the swamp in the approximate middle of the group, like a ghost that phased through the floor, though she was very much real. And as she did so, twenty black and red spikes shot out from the swamp, impaling the golden eyed girl that had nearly run her through with a giant lance in mid-air. Blood ran down the spikes from multiple places on her body, her head having been intentionally left out of the attack but virtually every other unarmored portion of her body had been skewered, and restraining her movement. "Naughty naughty, you shouldn't interrupt someone while they're preparing a meal...otherwise everything is ruined~"Even the assassin that had almost killed Zelda was treated as a toy by this girl. The round will reset 60 hours from now. THERE IS NO POSTING ORDER, BUT YOU MAY POST ONLY ONCE BEFORE THE BOSS. This is not a boss fight you want to strike out on. Even moreso than usual. Admin Note: One Warning. Do Not God-Mod something working on a boss. Admin Note: Your Wish Has Been Granted. "Zelda could use a lesson in priorities."Morrigan's voice would be heard in Alex's ear with those words while he fended off the assault on Midna, as a momentary distortion ran by him with a light arrow sticking out of its shoulder before vanishing completely. Indeed it seemed that the combined efforts of Seyka and Zelda did manage to land a hit on her, probably. Her true reappearance would be behind the new threat, the girl of shadow that was of greater concern, with the arrow of light still sticking out of her left shoulder. The girl's traits matched up with the gossip about Ordon, the beast that Zelda ran away from. At least in some regards. And her demeanor matched that of a man-eating monster, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to guess she was responsible for Kakariko either. Regardless, Morrigan knew this girl was a threat. She would kill everyone in this room if given the chance. She was nothing more than a beast seeking to sate its hunger, which was the most dangerous type of monster. The type that no compromise could ever be met with. In one swift strike she cleaved the girl's head off, golden blade getting coated in the girl's blood around the areas of contact. Something was wrong though. The tendrils didn't stop and neither did the girl's body. A small sizzling was heard from her blade as the blood began to dissolve the very weapon she had in hand. And then she saw the Hylian boy charge the monster in a reckless show of anger. He would be killed. He would die. Perhaps worse. As the girl's arms moved to grab him and pull him in, she acted. Cleaving the currently dissolving blade through the girl's arm, Morrigan grabbed the Hylian boy by the collar and threw him with all her might, putting a good thirty feet between him and the monster. She then moved as well, vanishing once more. "Learn from that boy. At least he knew who the real threat was." Morrigan's voice came from behind the duo of Zelda and Seyka, as the almost swiss-cheese blade was plunged through Zelda's torso from her back. It lacked any of its glow now, leaving only the tattered remnants of an almost pearl-white blade. A blade now coated in the blood of Zelda, as she violently rotated with the Princess and threw her off of her sword, Zelda going a good ten feet back and tumbling to the ground as the swamp finished its encroachment on the throne room. In the same motion, her body violently spun almost like a top as she delivered a powerful spin kick to Seyka, the force of the kick throwing her in the same direction as Zelda. Unlike her prior attacks, these had been made with a calculated and cold efficiency, holding none of the knightly pride or demeanor she had before. [ Princess Zelda LARGE CHEST WOUND FROM IMPALEMENT; MAJOR DAMAGE] [ Seyka Rozengale THREE CRACKED RIBS; MODERATE DAMAGE] With the problems out of the way, Morrigan turned back to look for the girl, only to...not find her. Dagger and sword vanished from hand, and in their place a massive lance appeared in the girl's right hand. It's shape and form were like a jousting lance, but the body appeared like a spiral of metal strips culminating in the point of the lance. As it got closer to the hilt, the spiral widened, and eventually made a net-like pattern of interweaving metal stripes covering the grip of the lance. The lance itself was longer than she was tall, but it was gripped with ease in one hand and maneuvered with expertise. Her legs were bent and the lance was ready, her form appearing as if she were about to try to run through the girl when she appeared. And as soon as the girl showed her face again with the assaults on the others taking place, that's what she did. With a boom she leapt from her position, shooting through the air like an arrow with the lance as the tip. She would run this girl through with the holy lance. "WITH THE POWER OF THE SEVEN SAGES, I WILL-"Morrigan could not finish her sentence. Attempts to speak were met with coughs of blood as her body found itself unable to move. In an instant, she had been skewered twenty times simultaneously, her body was halted mid-flight and held in-air. She maintained her grip on the lance, but she could do nothing more than glare at the girl in front of her as she taunted her. " For the first time in a century, citizens of Hyrule had heard the ancient hero speak. His expression became even more lost when he noticed the profuse bleeding from the multiple wounds. "How are you even--" Alive? She had to be. Ghosts didn't bleed like that. The Hero of Time looked at the others, clearly lost for words. Zelda had been run through, her favorite knight was clearly messed up, the Young Wolf was... oooh he hoped that didn't leave a scar. It only made him more desirable. He had to be fair for the five warriors that had fought with everything they had. All in all, he was impressed. He honestly expected worse. Morrigan had no hope of victory now though, even she had to realize that. One was living and bound by the rules of their body, the other dead and could freely blow as much magic power as he desired. Once they were done with Nimue, this would be a short affair. Gods she was stupid. "I'm throwing you through the mirror when this is over." He remarked. The well was a mistake, and in fairness he hadn't known about that mirror at the time. That had been a more recent discovery than anything. He stepped towards Seyka and Zelda to inspect the damage. The Young Wolf would be fine, might not even scar. He stopped at Zelda. The wound was deep obviously, normally it'd be fatal, thank the gods for healing magic. They just needed to get Zelda somewhere safe. He gave her a few hours otherwise. He also realized that if she recognized him, he was probably finishing Morrigan's job just by scaring her. Really, you take a nasty wound and see dead people? Can't be good. Nocking an arrow, he attached a bomb to this one before firing it off at the debris, opening the way out of the throne room. "The rest of you need to go. Get the princesses to safety." That was their cue then. Get the hell up out of here, he had this. Probably. With Morrigan a goner for sure this might be a tad more difficult. Whose the fucking genius who had the bright idea to bring her back? At least dead she could just blast this girl with that sword of hers. Speaking of swords. "Wolf," He said, calling to Link. He must have lost his sword. "There's an old graveyard in Kakariko. There should be something for you in the Hero's grave." It admittedly wasn't his most powerful weapon. It was sharp, but that was about it. Nothing like the Great Fairy's blade on his back. He put away his bow, opting instead to unsheathe that sword with his left hand, the screaming shield in his right. Right, his list for today; kill Nimue, throw Morrigan through the Mirror of Twilight, and beat up that Twili with his shitty puns. Gonna be busy. [/ul][/div][/blockquote] T H E

[attr="class","ohlove"] both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Everything had a tendency to blow up, didn't it? Time slowed down as Zelda got run through and Seyka got sent soaring. Gods above, that was it then, wasn't it? A divine bloodline snuffed out in a moment. Morrigan had succeeded, and there was still a crazy monster about to kill everyone, and Nimue. Nimue was still there too. Tendrils were closing in on him, a hand was coming to grab him. He really hoped that he would be able to at least get Midna out of here. The battle was lost, that was the simple fact. They had no real way to salvage the situation, and chances were good that this was where he was going to die, either killed by some crazy bitch or killed by Nimue.
At least until everything seemed to get blown away. A few arrows of blinding light here (he made sure to dodge), a couple arrows of fire here, and in walked someone right out of a legend. Well, one specter of the past had come and ruined their day, what harm could one more do? He talked, seeming to share some familiarity with Morrigan, before examining the princess and addressing Link. Why in the world was he called wolf now? He opened the way, blowing apart the rubble, and basically told them all to get lost, unsheathing probably the weirdest looking sword that Alex had ever seen. Really, and the shield. Who the hell got crap like that? Who the hell went to a blacksmith and said they wanted it made just like that?
Wading through the muck, because ew, Alex moved over to the fallen princess. She was bad, she was real bad. He could slow it but he had no magic. Now he was kind of regretting releasing that fairy against Morrigan, he could've just used it here and bam. He gently grasped Zelda's arms before placing her hands over her wound. Digging his hands into the muck, he took the injured Zelda into his arms, cradling her, and began to walk out. He had to be slow or he'd make it worse for her. As he stepped outside what remained of the Throne Room, he looked down at the capital, noting the dragon in the distance. They seemed to be doing well at least. "I'm going to take care of Zelda, she needs immediate attention." He remarked.
Did anyone else even know basic first aid in this room? "If you want to finish up that dragon I won't be able to help. Midna, with me. This isn't a fight we can win right now." He quietly remarked as he began to walk down. He hoped Midna wouldn't stay behind to fight Nimue. Let the ghost handle it, they had other problems. He doubted Morrigan would follow, and hopefully they could get away from Nimue before she came to her senses. Really, the more distance he put between those two the better.

Zelda began pushing herself up into a sitting position where she laid, only to stop halfway there and just sort of cringe. A hand rose to clutch at her chest, a mixture of intense confusion and discomfort on her face. To describe her state simply, she was overwhelmed. Not helping matters way the way a familiar voice manifested itself nearby. And with a few words, Zelda's mind was afflicted by an all consuming, unadulterated horror.
...A bright flash of light crossed over her fallen form and she flinched.
The Spectre of Time would be greeted with a pair of saucer eyes looking up at him as he approached the fallen princess. Her arms trembled with weakness. The pain of being impaled--good goddesses almighty--had started to intensify and boy, was it intense. After a moment, she hung her head rather dejectedly. The only thing keeping her from collapsing was her desire not to lay in that filth any more than she already had.
Thankfully, someone seemed to recognize that she wasn't going anywhere quickly in her current state. She was scooped up, offering no complaints or resistance. She spared a brief glance to figure out who had come to her rescue and--...Alexander? She'd almost been expecting Seyka, having been ...well, a bit too 'busy' to notice Seyka had also been hurt. Really though, she was just glad someone had seen fit to handle her in spite of how gross she was right now. between all the crying and the unidentified goo she'd been laying in--not to mention the blood--she was exploring new lows for her dignity.
Alex could feel the tension in Zelda's body relax a bit--as much as all the pain she was in would allow anyway, but it was a relative thing. She'd asked him to be her friend, ...but this was pretty nice too. She'd have to figure out where that feeling of deja vu was coming from later. |

Pain filled the world of most who had gathered that day to meet Princess Zelda. What transpired had not been planned nor something any of them could have predicted, and now that a glimmer of relief was in sight, why did he feel so... utterly defeated?
In the end, they had failed. All of them.
For Zelda, her kingdom laid before her in ruins, and her body badly injured from the Lightbringer. It would take her time to heal in more ways than one. For Seyka, her pride as a knight more than likely took a nasty blow, and the grief from losing many comrades would be fresh in her heart for days to come. For Alex, he got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, and would continue to be pulled into a mess of coincidence. For Midna, she encountered someone who single-handedly threatened more than Hyrule, but her realm all over again, and wanted to devour her entirely.
And him? What about him? Beyond Ordon, beyond the wounds marring his form and the damage to his arsenal, he found himself a bit too awestruck to properly register the pain searing through his form.
An illiterate country bumpkin might have been an easy way to stereotype him, but it was far from the truth. The fact that the legendary warrior of old, his image far grander than that of any painting or picture on a page, stood before them was, quite honestly, the most humbling and amazing thing to happen in his entire life, and the fact that he addressed him left him speechless.
Morrigan's actions that day could have wiped out the royal bloodline in an instant. In fact, people would be clamoring for Zelda to marry and produce an heir as soon as possible after the ordeal, or call in extended family members to help her rebuild. But something he couldn't ignore was the fact that had she not done what she did, he wouldn't be able to walk out of that room alive.
For that, he owed her. If their paths crossed again - whether or not that possibility even existed - he'd need to repay her in some way or another, and spoke accordingly. "I am in your debt," came the soft whisper from dry lips. But the words were meant for more than her. For the hero who arrived, he owed him greatly as well.
The day wasn't over. Far from it. Leaving the princess in Alex's care, he made his way toward one of the exits to the throne room and looked over at the city. The dragon, unfortunately, was still a threat.
"I'm going."
But would anyone come with him? Would Seyka, or were her wounds too grave? Would Midna, out of guilt for bringing this ruin to them all, or would she flee with Alex? MADE BY ★MEULK

SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU Everything all played out in a massive blur. Before knew what was happening, the green-haired knight felt pain overwhelm her senses unlike anything she’d ever felt before. In the past, she’d broken bones before but not to the degree she’d just been inflicted with in nothing short of a few seconds after attempting to shoot Morrigan. She gritted her teeth as she attempted to get back up. The moment she did she was instantly overwhelmed with pain. Was this the end of the group as they knew it? Seyka couldn't keep herself from uttering a string of curses at her weakness. But just when it felt like their time was nigh for death’s embrace, another anomaly had arrived changing the battle in one fell swoop. Another spirit arrived. This one appeared to be literally something out of legends. That the man may very well be. A Hero of recognition and respect – beyond that of the green-haired knight’s capabilities. They were told to retreat. Which she’d gladly oblige. Nobody had to tell the party that a second time. Whatever the Spirit could do that they couldn't without losing their lives in the process, may Fate take hold of the outcome of this battle. Alexander had made headway to taking care of Princess Zelda. He seemed to have an idea of how to go about taking care of the princess. Seyka wasn’t a healer by any means, nor did she possess any medical capabilities to be of any use. She managed to muster up the strength to get back up. Her torso was still throbbing with pain but the adrenaline still pumping in her body managed to null it down. Link insisted on going back out to Castle Town. That’s right. The Dragon out in the city was still a problem. Seyka looked back into her hands realizing she still had Zelda’s golden bow that shot off Light Arrows. A thin line marred her face. She turned back to the departing Alexander and Zelda. “I’m going to borrow this. I promise, I’ll return it. Knight’s honor.” She said calling out to them while they were still within earshot. She hurried as quickly as she could to catch up with Link. “Hang on!” she cried out, “It’s dangerous to go alone. I’m coming with you.” She forced a smile onto her face. Many would choose despair. It would make sense, but if there was a chance at them to keep going forward – to make amends for the mess that occurred today, then Seyka was going to carry on smiling. “Your equipment is damaged. Here. Take my sword and shield. The shield is stronger than the normal Hylian Shield thanks to my enchantment. It can handle more than just weak magical attacks but nothing beyond that.” As she explained, she noted the cracks still on its interior. She could at least take pride in the fact it managed to sustain the damage it took from defending against Morrigan. Link was witness to it during the fight. “Considering my injury, I’ll shoot from a safe distance. Let’s go take care of that Dragon.” But that was the current plan. Seyka departed alongside Link. Their job here was done but there was still much to do. tag: WAGA ARU G, Alexander Elessar, Link, Midna, Princess Zeldanotes: And so Seyka has EXITED this boss thread. What more could she really do than to use her broken sword to fight at the tendrils? She did stop momentarily as Morrigan seemed to slice the girl... but it was soon obvious that Nimue did not die. And her hunger for Midna did not stop. Nothing stopped. Everything happened so fast.
Arrows of light pierced through Nimue. They shot at Morrigan. Zelda was stabbed. Meanwhile, her safe spot in the shadows was not so safe. A man appeared then and seemed to put a halt to all of the fighting. Midna could only observe as chaos spread and almost cease. She quickly shifted away her broken sword into the hammerspace that she normally used and flew from Alex's shadow to the Princess'. She'd be there to help Zelda if she could, if she did not get pierced by the light as well. But Alex seemed to have taken control, and slowly, one by one, the combatants were leaving.
Midna stayed behind for a moment, observing the wreckage again. Her heart so desperately wanted her to stay behind and make sure that Nimue was defeated... once and for all... Her people deserved to know as much. But she wouldn't stand a chance... Her brain told her to flee, that this battle was lost, for now. She desperately hoped the Hero could get rid of that... creature... Even if she could not... At least knowing it was gone would put her mind at ease...
But it wouldn't really, would it? Alex had said something before this all started... That Nimue... had followed her. From Ordon, to Kakariko... to the Castle...
It was really all her fault, wasn't it?
Biting her lip, she jumped from shadow to shadow until she had reached Alex once more. This was not the end.
