One hundred years have passed.
One hundred years ago, a small child and the princess of Hyrule came to the then King of Hyrule with an incredible tale that transcended time. Presenting irrefutable proof of Ganondorf's treachery, the Gerudo King was executed. And save for minor incidents here and there, Hyrule at large, has known peace and prosperity, the cheer only fading for brief moments when the sorrow of dusk arrives in the land.
Seasons change, and time passes, and people come and go. In the Kingdom of Hyrule, another King peacefully breathes his last, and the throne passes to his only heir; the Princess Zelda, set to be coronated as Queen in her own right. In another realm, forgotten to the majority of Hyrule, a change also takes place. In the Twilight Realm, where the descendants of the Dark Interlopers dwell, the Twilight King has died, and the throne has passed to Princess Midna, a powerful sorceress in her own right.
These two realms have always remained separated, decreed by the gods. But there will come a time when even gods are defied.
Twilight Symphony is a role play set just before the beginning of Twilight Princess. Princess Midna is still ruler of the Twilight Realm and Zant has not made his move to usurp the Twilight Realm, rendering him and Ganon currently inactive. That's where the similarities with the game's plot ends. The story is something entirely original that allows the players to enjoy the rich world of Hyrule with many of its beloved characters.
IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH TWILIGHT PRINCESS OR ZELDA IN GENERAL then don't worry. It's a pretty straight forward High Fantasy with crossbows being the farthest the technology's gotten. The Forces of Darkness are here and you have to save the land. A lot of the Zelda "lore" stuff (Zelda being the reincarnation of a goddess, the sages, the Twilight Realm, the Triforce, etc) is most definitely not known to the masses and known only to a very select few. So if you just read the stuff mentioned and scratched your head, don't you worry, that's probably how most everyone in Hyrule itself would react, so you'll fit right in.
