[googlefont=Open+Sans] 守りたいものを守れるのなら [attr="class","firstfriend"] すべてを受け入れて 未来(あした)を探す His polearm had cleaved effortlessly through the tendrils that had encroached upon the diminutive fairy, Nerine. He answered her inquiry with a playful smile as he’d leered over his shoulder at Nerine. The grotesque youth was easily contending with the other combatants, gouging Fress, ensnaring Volga before propelling him into a building. His thoughts immediately returned to Keldric, he’d suffered a similar injury during their bout with Ziegess. He just shook his head at Nerine, uncertain of what to tell her as she’d began to emit a low blue glow. The next thing he knew, Nerine had regrown to her full-size, she’d abandoned her bow in favor of a dagger.
“I’m not sure.”
He answered sullenly, uncertain of the monster’s abilities. His eyes widened until they were almost as big as a saucer as she’d plunged tendrils into her own stomach. A black mass spilled from her innards, it’d laid motionless on the ground for a handful of seconds before it began to pulsate and undulate. Before too long, it had grown to a size that dwarfed the surrounding buildings, its’ deafening roars rattled his very bones. He’d looked at Nerine, uncertain how suited for combat she was; he knew she could utilize the Goddesses’ blessing but none of them were particularly useful.
“Be careful, Nerine, don’t needlessly throw away your life.”
He said softly, his voice a quiet whisper as he’d brandished his spear. He’d waited until the beast was almost upon him, his body plunging deep into the ground as he burrowed deep. However, he didn’t stay there long before he’d rocketed up into the air. His lightweight stature allowing him a moment of weightlessness, just drifting upon the wind’s currents. He’d held his spear in one hand and dawned the his signature bomb mask. A deep breathe escaping from his nostils as he lightened up the shot, before activating the mask’s magic to turn his simple spear into a torpedo aimed at the small of the creature’s back. Unfortunately, this course of action would momentarily disarm him.

If she transformed back and took off flying after the female, she might have been able to keep up and figure out what was going on. But while she might not have been much of a fighter, the magic she possessed didn't exactly lack usefulness. Being able to heal and offer support gave her something to work on, if nothing else, and for that very reason, she lingered.
Not because of fear or anything. Of course not! It was just... well... y-yeah, better not to follow the thing that just wanted to eat her and the others gathered. Nope, no siree, better staying put to help.
The loud hero and the brown-haired heroine (just like one of those old stories!) didn't seem to be suffering a great deal, and while the being that just transformed in front of their very eyes had been harmed fairly extensively, he appeared to be ready for a round two without sparing any consideration to his own injuries.
With a slight smile, she bowed her head and left the safety that Dieter's presence provided, making her way quickly toward Fress. He certainly spoke strangely, didn't he? A faint blue light spread across her hands, emanating a warm energy as she moved her palms near the Twili's back.
"Stay still for a moment," she spoke softly. "I'll do what I can to mend you with haste." MADE BY ★MEULK

[/b] The round has been reset and will reset in 60 hours. This post'll put me right in the middle of work on Wednesday if I do 48. THERE IS NO POSTING ORDER. IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO POST, DO IT.And so the battle had begun in full. As Fress's stars approached the beast, Salagoss continued to charge full speed ahead as the stars directly collided and... did nothing. In fact, the Shadow of the Colossus didn't even seem to take notice of the shadow element-aligned attack. In Fress's defense though, Volga's sword beam didn't seem to do much better, colliding with its head and kicking up a small cloud of a black, smoke like substance, but nothing otherwise. It seemed there was no stopping the charge then, so this was going to suck. At least until Dieter intervened. The Deku's plan worked as he came crashing down on the small of Salagoss's back. The spear embedded itself about a foot into the beast, but no farther. This was not like Ziegess, who was paper thin. Salagoss stopped his charge and flinched from the impact, so the worst had been stopped, but now its attention was entirely on Dieter. Of course, striking the back, where there were active and excited tendrils, may not have been the best idea. Two of them immediately grabbed and wrapped around the dazed dancer before he could fall, bringing him to Salagoss who, after looking at Dieter with a glance of what could be considered curiosity, took the Deku into its right hand, wrapping its fingers around him. And then immediately threw him through a building. Perhaps this was a common trend? As Dieter flew through the rubble there would be three immediate and sharp spikes of pain. Two in his sides, and one in his left shoulder. Seemed that had taken its toll. However, perhaps it was not all bad. If Dieter bothered to look around his surroundings, he would notice that he was surrounded by what could be called a shitload of bombs. Regular looking bombs, bombs with a fish's face, and bombs that had spider legs. There was enough firepower in here to level a city, and he'd landed right in front of the counter. For someone who sure loved that Blast Mask, it must have been Christmas. [DIETER: TWO BROKEN RIBS AND A DISLOCATED LEFT SHOULDER, MAJOR] Back outside, Salagoss reached behind itself and pulled out the spear that had been embedded in its rear end and studied it. The hole remained. It wasn't regenerating, and it took notice of that. So the little creature it had thrown was capable of such damage then? Salagoss's hand wrapped around the spear and the group could easily hear the splintering, cracking, and breaking. The shadow released its grip and the mulched remains of the spear simply fell out and to the ground. While the Palace Guard would happily replace the spear for Dieter at no charge, today would indeed be a sad day for him. Meanwhile as Nerine approached Fress and began to heal his wounds, the deep gouges from Nimue slowly began to ache just a little less and began to close. They still drew blood, but were nowhere near as painful or dangerous for Fress's health than they had been a few seconds ago. [FRESS'S WOUNDS HAVE BEEN DOWNGRADED FROM MODERATE TO MINOR] Fortunately for the rest of the group, Salagoss seemed to have identified Dieter as the threat of the group, and so ignored it as it lumbered over to Barnes's bomb shop, before reaching over and grabbing the building. Its claws pierced the walls and the creature began to strain as it pulled. The sounds of the building creaking and groaning made it clear that it was absolutely capable of tearing the building from its foundation, and would do so to get to Dieter if not stopped. Dieter's body flying through the air and crashing into a nearby building caused a startled gasp to escape from the fae's mouth. With the Twili faring drastically better after only a short bit of healing energy channeled directly to his wounds, he would be fine on his own without further assistance. She pulled back, her eyes trailing after the behemoth in the ruins of Kakariko.
"Be careful." The word of warning and worry didn't matter greatly when faced against such terrible odds. Even the most skilled, strongest warrior in the land wouldn't be able to come out of a situation such as they were in without scars on their body or mind.
A bright ball of light formed in her hands before she hurled it hard at the creature, her aim impressively accurate. Unless something happened to cause the shadow's course to change rapidly, it would find itself with a blinding light right in front of its eyes, her intention to temporarily blind it long enough for the others to distract it.
In physical strength she lacked; in agility she did not. A wary look was thrown in the direction of the bombs before she crouched down on one knee to begin running her hand above Dieter's torso. How badly had the impact hurt him? If nothing else, she could ease his pain until later, and tend to him more extensively.
"Guess you're lighter than I thought," she mumbled with a hint of a grin, trying to lighten the situation. "You're more of a leaf than wood, aren't you?" MADE BY ★MEULK

The sword beam did little to affect the beast. Disappointing, but hardly surprising. The thing was massive, and it would take much more firepower than that to do much of anything to it. Volga watched the small deku from before make a daring strike at the creature's back, to little avail. The spear likely had an effect on it, as he couldn't see it from his position, but the cost was too high. The wooden spear was destroyed and the Deku hurled into a building with a bomb sign on it. The bomb shop? That could certainly help.
The girl had a good point in working together, and the fairy seemed to be doing its job in healing the wounds of those injured. The shadow boy, while eager, didn't contribute much in Volga's mind. And he ruled the deku out of his planning for the most part, he couldn't imagine the wood boy being much use after that kind of impact. Though his landing in the bomb shop was fairly convenient; they were the premiere bomb dealer in Eldin if memory served and-
Eldin.
Eldin.
As Volga caught a glimpse of the light of the moon once again faintly passing through the beast...
"WOMAN! RUSH THE SPRING AND AWAKEN ELDIN! WE SHALL FIGHT SHADOW WITH THE ULTIMATE LIGHT OF HYRULE!" he shouted at the top of his lungs at Ashei, violently pointing his spear towards the nearby sacred spring as he sheathed the greatsword on his back, "SHADOW BOY, DON'T GET YOURSELF KILLED AND STAY OUT OF THE WAY. ATTACKING SHADOW WITH SHADOW WILL PROBABLY MAKE IT WORSE!"
From his back in his now empty off hand he pulled out a trinket he found on the way back from Ordon; a hookshot. He didn't expect to get much use out of it, but he had an idea for it now.
"DEKU, FAIRY! YOU BOTH STAY OUT OF THE WAY AND DON'T GET KILLED! I WILL BE DRAWING ITS ATTENTION TO MYSELF ALONE WHILE THE WOMAN AWAKENS ELDIN!" he shouted at the two in the building, reiterating the point that Ashei needed to go awaken Eldin from within the spring. That was the best way for them to defeat an entity of shadow; harness the light that supposedly protected Hyrule.
Aiming the hookshot, he fired and quickly pulled his way up one of the buildings to the side of the bomb shop, ascending to a high enough vantage point that he had a clear shot to his target. "DEKU, FAIRY! WHEN I GIVE THE SIGNAL, USE THE OPPORTUNITY TO FLEE! GET AS FAR FROM THE BEAST AS YOU CAN! AND DON'T MAKE THINGS EXPLODE HERE MORE THAN THEY ALREADY HAVE!" While it would sound like he was calling everyone useless, it was far from it. For the most part, everyone here had something to contribute. At the very least, they stayed and fought. That alone made them more worthwhile than many of the others in Hyrule. They at least had value in their strength of heart, if not their strength of body. "IF ANY OF YOU DARE TO DISOBEY, I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF!"
That didn't mean he wouldn't filter them out if they proved him wrong.
"BEAST, YOU AND YOUR CREATOR ARE AN INSULT TO THIS LAND AND THE FEW IN IT OF WORTH! GET THE FUCK OUT!" he shouted at the beast as he fired his hookshot, aiming it at a piece of protruding wreckage from a building on the other side of the bomb shop. With a violent pull, rather than letting himself be pulled to it, he used the hookshot to pull that wreckage from the building and attempt to slam it into the side of the monster's head. He did not expect it to do damage. He expected it to draw its attention away from the two in the bomb shop, and onto himself. He stuck around only long enough for the attack to connect or fail, and either way would move to ascend further up and away along the tops of the buildings. It was not a nimble beast; he would make use of its size to avoid a direct confrontation.

[googlefont=Roboto] What I fear and what I've tried
Words I say and what I hide
All the pain, I want it to end
But I want it again
She had never seen anything like it. Truly, she could not place any words for the horror that she was facing as she watched one of the fellow allies get broken by the beast with ease. She let out a staggered breath, taking several steps back as she waited for some kind of response from the others - why would they listen? This wasn't going to work!
"WOMAN! RUSH THE SPRING AND AWAKEN ELDIN! WE SHALL FIGHT SHADOW WITH THE ULTIMATE LIGHT OF HYRULE!"
"W-what?" Ashei let out a ragged breath as she turned to the draconic man in confusion. He wanted her to leave them?! To find some mythical creature that may or may not exist? "Y-you're telling me to leave you guys!?" She tried to fathom this plan in her head, coming to any scenario that would possibly benefit them.
There was also a possibility that this thing would follow her if they couldn't keep it distracted for long enough. Now it was a race with the clock, and if beasts like this could exist, then perhaps spirits of light could, too.
Run. Just run. RUN NOW!
She jolted into movement, snapping herself back as the others began pelting at the colossus. She panted heavily, running as fast as she humanly could without turning back. Thank goodness she had the endurance of a wild animal; sweat permeating on her forehead as her breath became shallower and shallower with every push on her feet.
Boots skidding across gravel, she turned down the road quickly, making way for the spring that was just before the gates leading out of town. She hoped to the goddesses that they would be able to keep it distracted without taking too much damage.

[googlefont=Open+Sans] 守りたいものを守れるのなら [attr="class","firstfriend"] すべてを受け入れて 未来(あした)を探す Before he’d even begun his descent, he’d Before he’d begun his descent, he’d felt something encircle his midsection. His vision still blurred from the concussive force that had propelled his spear into its’ back. His head lulled back and forth as he was manhandled, the next thing he knew he felt weightless as he was being thrown through the air like a child’s discarded tool. His world faded into emptiness as he collided with the side of the building, his body piercing through it like a harpoon. He’d lost consciousness for perhaps under a minute, his rude awakening was that of fiery pain pulsating through his torso and his left shoulder. His head lulled lazily to the side, taking note of the fact, his left arm dangled a full two inches lower than the right. He attempted to make it move, his fingertips wiggled but that was the extent of his control of the damaged appendage. Surprisingly enough, Dieter was fairly silent, unable to vocalize the amount of pain he was in. Instead, his face remained contorted in silent agony. He’d soon found himself starring up at Nerine’s concerned face, her touch brought with it a sense of momentarily relief. It took the edge off his pain, not erasing but it making it mildly more tolerable. His right hand drifted up from his side to gently cup the side of her face. His index finger tentatively running along the side of her grinning face. He couldn’t help but chuckle at her half-wit wisecrack, rewarding himself with another fresh wave of pain which silenced him with an audible wince. He’d heard Volga’s shouts and even saw the colossal beasts’ appendages rip into the building. It was attempting to bring down the foundation upon them, something that neither of them were liable to survive, especially if any of the surrounding bombs went off. Yes, at some point he’d noticed them, not necessarily by looking at them but by the heavy smell of black powder.
“ I should of taken my own advice…”
He said gravely, his voice rough and pained as his right hand reached back towards the countertop behind him. He forced himself to his feet, his body wracked by fresh waves of agony, yet he’d overcame it through sheer willforce. His movements were slow, deliberate and clearly indicated that he hadn’t recovered fully from the concussive blow he’d suffered. His vison was still blurred. He shambled around the counter and began to grab as many bombs as he could cram into his bag in a time period of thirty seconds, he’d managed about five spherical bombs, two of the fish bombs and lastly two spiders. It wasn’t much but it would serve its’ intended purpose in due time. He also pocketed some matches from behind the counter.
“ We have to move… go ahead… I’ll just slow you down, towards the back on the left hand side...”
He said softly to Nerine as his eyes drifted shut. His lips moved in silent prayer as he’d begun his own spellcraft, Dryad’s Domain . He’d utilized it’s diagnostic capabilities to deduce that his shoulder was fully out of socket and that two of his floating ribs were broken. Fortunately, they hadn’t shifted so far out of place so as to cause any internal hemorrhaging from his organs. He’d also detected that there was a secondary exit it was located in the back portion of the shop, it was likely where they tested the bombs because he could sense the infrastructure was vastly thicker.
“This way, quickly.” He said as he shuffled in the direction of the door.

Normally, Fress would understand why Volga would want him out of the fight. However, the insult of being called "Shadow Boy" was incredibly offensive and clouded his judgment. This Hylian had some nerve, insulting the proud Twili race.
"I'll show you, Red Head," he exclaimed loudly, "this form is not just for disguising purposes."
Spinning his beast form's two tails like a helicopter, Fress was able to lift himself off the ground. Pulling out his sword, he flew straight at the Colossal Cow, aiming for his right eye and giving a violent slash.

[/b] Holy shit you guys are fast. The next round will be in 48 hours. Probably. This is a pretty early time for my posting. THERE IS NO POSTING ORDER. IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO POST, DO IT.For a moment, Salagoss's attention shifted to Nerine as she flashed a blinding light at him. In response, it shook its head a few times, its tearing of the building stopped for a few seconds while Nerine was able to slip in. It seemed for once that blinding the thing would work. While Nerine was no miracle worker, the work she could do was pretty damn useful. As her hands went over Dieter's chest, the broken ribs began to mend. She couldn't heal them entirely in such a short amount of time, but the bone to heal, the breaks becoming merely cracks. Dieter would still be in no small amount of pain, and he would definitely be slowed down until fully treated, but he was better than he was before. [DIETER'S WOUNDS HAVE BEEN DOWNGRADED FROM MAJOR TO MODERATE] When Salagoss finally regained its sight, it began to tear at the building again before Volga's shouting began to draw its attention. It turned to look at Volga, only to find a large piece of debris slamming into its face, causing it to visibly flinch as its head turned at the impact. Right then. Its clawed hands released their grip on the bomb ship as the creature slowly turned before finally lumbering over to Volga. It was around this time that Ashei would reach the springs. But for the moment, Salagoss lumbered towards Volga, letting out a low growl. The ploy had worked, both Nerine and Dieter were safe. At least for a moment. Its advanced stopped as a fox using its tails to fly approached it, aiming right for its face. Salagoss seemed to just stare at it. It looked back at Volga for a second, and if the Dragon Knight were observant, he would notice Salagoss's shoulders rising and falling for a moment before it looked back at Fress. It seemed content to just watch the Twili for a moment, right up until Fress slashed at its eye. It went through the black mass and through the eye. There was resistance, but Fress's strike was true. The creature flinched and let out a grunt of what was obviously pain. Salagoss's eyes narrowed at the Twili. As all this was happening, Ashei, very much winded and very much deserving of a gold medal for running as quickly as she did, found herself at the spring. She apparently spoke no words, but at the same time, apparently none were needed. A very faint bit of light illuminated the darkness around them, but would grow no further. "Ah, good. I was beginning to worry when none of the villagers ran to me for protection." It said mirthlessly, with a tinge of despair and grief in its voice. "No need for words, I understand." It was a voice spoken softly enough that only Ashei could hear. "Unfortunately for us, my physical presence cannot extend beyond these waters." It said simply. Which meant that either the plan was lost, or, well, there was one other method. But Ashei might not like to hear it, all things considered. "If you can lure it here, I can handle the rest. Do be sure to tell the child of shadow... er, the fox, to get in a shadow once I do this. My light does not discriminate." It offered. "Normally I would say this would be a simple task but..." It was around this time that Salagoss grabbed Fress for his attack, turned and threw him through the bomb shop as well. "Your group hasn't been the most inspiring..."Back with the main action, Fress found himself rolling on the floor after his painful trip through the wall. Fortunately for him, he finally came to a stop in front of both Nerine and Dieter. Again, fortunately, Fress's shoulder was also completely fine! He could still use both of his arms, unlike Dieter, huzzah! Unfortunately, the trade off for that was that Fress had taken more damage to the torso. [FRESS: THREE BROKEN RIBS ON TOP OF MINOR INJURIES, MAJOR] Fortunately, Nerine was right there to patch him up if she had the time to do so. It might have to be delayed a bit as Salagoss, now completely ignoring Volga once again, dug its claws back into the building and began to pull it away again. Bombs began to fall off the shelf and parts of the building began to collapse from the sheer strength of the beast. In the middle of stepping after Dieter, the fox-like creature fell and rolled directly to the side of them. He'd already taken one flinging session; another would be pushing his limits. Grimacing, the fae faltered in her escape route to crouch beside him and press both hands against his chest. Sweat trickled down the side of her face from using up a fair bit of energy in rapid succession. But the alternate was worse, and leaving them to deal with grave wounds wouldn't settle well with her.
"Come with us," she spoke quietly. "Listen to the man's words. If he has a plan, lets follow with it and see what happens. If it fails, we'll launch a second strike."
Reason came before pride in battle, and honor often cost more than it was worth. Their lives were a great deal more valuable than any amount of glory for getting in a few good shots.
While Dieter helped himself to bombs before making his way out the located door, the fae didn't do the same, mostly because it'd weigh her down more than she needed. If taking to the air was needed, and quickly at that, the less holding her down, the better.
Get out, find safe ground, and tend to the two of them for awhile longer. As long as the two were willing, that's exactly what she planned to do. MADE BY ★MEULK

Fress was in immense amounts of pain at this point. He was not one to admit defeat, but it looked like he didn't really have much of a choice. He let out a slight grumble.
"Fine," he said, rolling his eyes, "Once you're done healing me, I have an idea. I, the Magnificent Fress, will fly you and the Deku to safety, dropping one these during the process."
Pulling out a Mercy Bomb, Fress explain his strategy.
"These little guys are filled with spores from a special fungus back where I come from," he said, "If the beast gets a whiff of some of them, his senses will be distorted so that he'll start acting friendly. It takes about ten minutes, I suppose Red Head will have to keep him busy til then."

A glimmering light appeared in the pool of water, shimmering over as words filled her presence with divine purity. It was true - the very spirit of this place had really existed! For a moment, Ashei couldn't bring herself to speak, awestruck by the presence of spirits she never imagined in her lifetime would reveal themselves to her.
Perhaps the many legends she had heard of as a child were true after all. Taking the requests of the spirit tentatively, she nodded hard before turning around and dashing away from the spring once more. With every pant, she pushed her self further, the sight of the colossus coming back into view.
"GUYS! GUYS, OVER HERE!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, lifting her arms high up in the air as she began to flail them. "THE SPIRIT NEEDS THE BEAST TO COME TO THE SPRING! ALL OF US NEED TO RUN OVER THERE NOW, AND KEEP ITS ATTENTION!"
Her eyes scattered for a moment, taking every one of her allies into view - some of which were already majorly wounded. Her heart sank. "It's not ending like this. The spirit also told me that whomever is of shadow needs to hide within the shadows when it attacks! The light will surely hurt you otherwise!"
hey! listen!

This motion brought with it a fresh wave of agony as would his frantic burrowing as he’d made preparations to launch himself onto the roof. On his way out, he’d heard the bombs falling to the ground, he’d see chucks of the ceiling rain down almost catching him once or twice. Still, he’d navigated himself to safety with his eyes closed. Even now as his teeth sunk into his lower lips to prevent himself from crying out, they’d remained close. He’d propelled himself upwards, weightlessly landing upon the roof. His seismic sensing still confirming that the colossus was still revenging the building, it seemed dead set on getting its’ hands on him.
The Deku daringly walked upon the quivering rooftop, ignoring the periodic breaks and newfound gaps. He’d lingered momentarily on the edge of the building as he’d reached into his satchel and fished out the two bombchu. He smiled to himself as he’d flipped one upside down and rested it atop the other, binding the two together with a thick layer of sap. He’d also added a few additional touches of his own to include a total of seven Deku Nuts. He’d smirked as he placed it on the ground, scratching the the match awkwardly against the side of its’ box to ignite it. Once he’d done so, he’d reconfirmed that the beast hadn’t moved and that it was still fixated on the building. He’d added one final layer of thick salve to the every possible surface aside from its’ skittering bottom. He’d chuckled to himself as the two bombs flew off the edge, their intended target was the top of its’ head, but it’s hulking shoulders were equally tantalizing targets.
He’d didn’t elect to dwell on it, taking a few hesitant steps back before he’d took a leap of faith off the side of the bomb shop, drifting weightlessly through the air to another rooftop, where he landed softly. Once his feet hit the ground. He’d braced himself for the concussive blast of the bombs. He'd heard Ashei's plea, and once he had it's attention again he'd make his way towards the springs. However, he'd definitely need a helping hand to get there safely.

Fress was a little annoyed by Dieter's random act of courage. The Deku didn't even hear a word he had said. No matter, he still had the fairy to protect.
"Well," he said, "There goes that plan."
Fress took Nerine by the hand and brought her to the back door of the window furthest away from the monster currently destroying the store.
"Get on my shoulders, Fairy," he said, "I'll take you to safety while you heal me and then I'll try... I dunno something. At this point, nobody seems to think I can do anything so I'll just let them keep thinking that, I guess."
As Fress began to fly both him and Nerine over to a safer area, he heard Ashei's instructions and rolled his eyes.
"Great," he muttered to himself, "More people determined to make ME the useless one."
Landing Nerine to the rooftop closest to the spring, he pulled out his sword.
"You get outta here," he said to Nerine, still glaring at the beast, "I'm gonna try one last thing before I give up on this one."
Returning to the air, Fress flew towards the creature once more. This time, he landed on top of the monsters head and stabbed his sword right into his skull. Hopefully, he would be able to give this bull a bad headache.

For a moment, Volga actually found it difficult to muster the energy to be angry. Well, the energy to express his anger anyway. The shadow boy, in blatant defiance of what he just said, decided to...fly, somehow, and move to the beast's face. He saw the movement of the shoulders from the beast and, in a moment of camaraderie with their enemy, understood exactly what the beast was thinking: "Are you seeing this?" Yes, unfortunately, he was. There was a reason Volga told the boy to stay out of the way, and this is why. He could only watch with disinterested eyes as, almost in slow motion, he watched the boy get plucked by the beast's hand and thrown into the bomb shop just as the deku had moments before.
"It would seem that I STAND CORRECTED," and the moment of not being able to express his anger had passed, "OUR ENEMY IS MORE INTELLIGENT AND USEFUL TO THIS WORLD THAN FOX BOY HERE. HOPEFULLY YOU'VE DIED IN THERE FOX BOY, BECAUSE ONCE THIS IS DONE, I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF. YOU HAD ONE FUCKING JOB AND YOU COULDN'T EVEN DO THAT!"
He paused for a moment when he heard Ashei shouting. So Eldin did wake up and provide direction. Now they just needed to kite the beast to the spring. Simple enough, provided they didn't have anybody else fuck it up. Then he heard the addendum.
"OH, BETTER YET! SINCE YOU'RE SO INTENT ON KILLING YOURSELF FOX BOY, STICK AROUND FOR THE LIGHT SHOW FROM ELDIN! BET YOU CAN'T FUCKING SURVIVE THAT! I MIGHT NOT HAVE TO KILL YOU IF YOU DO THAT!" he was purely taunting him at this point. He was going to kill the boy himself either way. He was useless and his very presence insulted Volga. The beast that manifested in less than a minute was more intelligent than the likely only decade or so the boy had been raised, because clearly he was a child trying to play hero.
From his vantage point he saw as the deku appeared on the roof with explosives from the shop, the kind that can scurry towards a target. He was about to also chastise him for screwing it up, but he saw that after letting the glued together bombs go, he began making his way towards the spring. So he was listening. Somewhat. Credit where credit was due, he was actually trying to accomplish something useful in spite of his injuries. His annoyance that the deku didn't stay out of harms way was mellowed out some by him actually trying to do what they needed to do. Hookshotting over to the building on the other side of the bomb shop as he was, closer to the spring, he waited until the bombs detonated one way or another to act.
And once they did, he'd use the hookshot to grab another piece of wreckage from the now much-more damaged bomb shop and slam it into the beast's face. Volga then moved from rooftop to rooftop towards the spring, grabbing the deku along the way and setting him on his back.
"Stay put. We're the bait and you can't move quickly. Otherwise I'll have to kill you for disobeying."
He didn't feel the need to yell while they were next to each other, but his anger was clear. He was fully intent on killing the fox boy when this was over if the boy survived somehow. But there was the faintest trace of recognition. It may have had something to do with their prior experience in Ordon. But it seemed the deku would carry out their duty to the death. Volga could at least respect that level of determination and dedication, and humor the idea of donating some of it to the useless royalty. Or just let the girl Nimue eat whatever it was she was going for. May be it was Zelda. He didn't know, but it probably would be better regardless of what she ate.
All of this cynical musing took place as Volga made his way towards the springs, Deku resting on his back, with his spear in one hand and using his hookshot as necessary with the other.
