For all the rupees in the world would not make the blond youth move after the command had been given. Link stayed his ground with his breath held and eyes trained to scan the surroundings. The sight of the princess' magic was, to put simply, astonishing. Had she more access to weapons days ago during the encounter with the Lightbringer, Morrigan herself might have been given a run for her money. Nimue, though, would probably still be a much larger threat, and one that he didn't want to ponder on too much for that time.
The issue came in the form of Ashei. Her natural heroism and recklessness cost her, and the moment he saw the weapons catch her in the middle of things, his legs buckled underneath him to rush toward her - but wouldn't that have caused the same to then be said about himself? The moment things cleared he gave in and did just that, and found immediate comfort in the power of the fae and the kindness of the princess.
"One of these days, you're going to..." With a shake of his head, he cast downward toward the injured woman what he hoped would be a weak smile of solace. "It's a good thing you're resilient." The embarrassment would settle in rapidly, if it already hadn't, and that in and of itself could be considered a worse thing to suffer through.
"With your permission, your highness, we'll pursue the apples in the castle." He gestured to himself and Seyka. "Please stay with Ashei and watch over her." The major threat had been dispelled rapidly thanks to her powers. The few that remained wouldn't take long to clean up. After that, things could once again be right within the land of Hyrule.

Time to start wrapping this up. Sey is exempt due to IRL issues. Four apples had managed to get inside the castle and away from the action in an attempt to find princess Zelda. Granted, that turned out to be completely pointless, but it had made things slightly easier. Or had it? Perhaps Zelda's attack would have crushed the four apples as surely as she had the rest. As the group that rushed in to deal with the remaining fruit journeyed through the (still trashed) castle. It wouldn't take too long for them to find their prey. They were found in the first hallway. The only problem was that they weren't the red, juicy warriors that they had been expecting. Rather they were four solid gold statues, all trapped in various states of distress as they either seemed shocked, scared, or were running the hell away. Spooky, but solid gold killer apples would make one hell of a lawn ornament, not that the party was getting them out. If they were really solid gold, then they were going to be fairly heavy to move. It seemed that the threat in the castle was over. ... What a night. CharityPrincess ZeldaLinkSeyka RozengaleAshei VitalisAPPLES REMAINING: 0 [/ul][/div][/blockquote] B U T

Zelda met Ashei's eyes and she seemed to relax slightly as the other stopped well--screaming and crying, to put it lightly. Her gaze softened and she offered Ashei a warm smile. "I'm so sorry." she quietly apologized. If one were able to focus on her tone, they could tell she was a bit shaken by what had happened. She shifted to cup Ashei's hand in both of hers, bringing it to her chest and holding it over her heart. It was, understandably, racing. Her caress was gentle yet firm--with a note of affection in it. She'd come to know first-hand that little distractions like this could help someone cope with the pain and discomfort associated with these kinds of wounds, and so she opened her heart to Ashei. It wasn't healing magic, but it was the best she could do--for both their sakes. It was, perhaps, for the better that she couldn't know that Ashei had a fairy. The consequences of asking her to put the poor woman out of her misery so that she could be revived would have likely been ... damaging, to put it lightly. As she worked at doing her best to comfort Ashei, two things distracted her. The first was--...Was that a fairy among them? Her heart nearly skipped a beat as a ray of hope announced the arrival of aid. The second was Link, with a rather important request. "Please do." Zelda replied in an encouraging tone, giving her consent for him to give chase to the apples as politely as she could manage while still being quite brief for the sake of not delaying action any longer.
She then gave Charity most of her attention for a moment. "Thank you. I'll stay with you and help." she went on to remark before returning her attention to Ashei so that they could focus on healing her. Judging by the previous scene, she wasn't... too worried about the apples taking over the castle. She figured this would be a lot easier and less painful without Ashei laying on her wounds or Charity having to remove the spears herself. She gave Ashei's hand a little squeeze to get her attention. "Brace... A spear is coming out." she calmly instructed, giving Ashei a chance to steel herself. A single spear would be carefully removed, the one Charity happened to be working around, to give the fairy better access. There was no pleasant way to do that, but at least the wound would have immediate attention. "What is your name..?" the princess went on to idly ask, once again trying to distract Ashei--this time with personal conversation. Hey, we're nurturing you back to health here! That puts us on pretty intimate terms! Really though, she'd love to ask both women near her their names, but well--one of them was understandably far more in need of her attention. |

When all was said and done, things could have been a lot worse. How the apples became glorious golden decorations wasn't a question he spent too much time pondering on. Instead, he made his way back how he came to give a report to the princess and check on the condition Ashei was in. It'd take the fae much longer to heal her, he knew that, but it didn't stop him from wanting to see her better with his own eyes before departing.
Yet depart he would after a short time, for there for many things to be done, and the detour in the capitol had only been a minor one. Supplies were needed to be purchased, letters were meant to be sent, and then? Then the open field called to him, with many things left undone awaiting him along the new path he found himself walking along. MADE BY ★MEULK

Seyka felt everything whirl passed her in high-speed that before she could move an inch, the battle had already concluded itself. Princess Zelda had redeemed herself in an extraordinary display of innate magic slews across the army of sentient fruits and vegetables. But not without a severe casualty amidst the volley of attack. The fairy had already run up to the rescue to heal the fallen Ashei. Princess Zelda accompanied her accordingly, which left the Hylian Knight following Link to find the rest of the strayed fruits. Only the find them as golden statues. “Heavens above, I didn’t think this day could get any stranger.” She rubbed her temples after sheathing her sword and shield. “Maybe these things could fetch a decent price in the market.” Somebody is going to want them in their penthouse. Or on their noble extravagant lawn. Seyka decided to conclude the evening by returning to Princess Zelda's side to ensure the healing process is continued and Ashei made a full recovery. She would speak words with Link another time. Glad as she was to see him and be there for this crazy instance, another time, another place. tag: Ashei Vitalis, Charity, Princess Zelda, Linknotes: Exit post~

IF MEMORIES ARE SHADOWS
we'd best not waste the light
Sugar pink light radiated from Charity’s hands as she did her best to close the wounds as quickly as she could. She should’ve practiced more on providing more potent healing powers. She knew she shouldn’t let her impulse to do the right thing get the better of her. That was how fairies get bottled up in the first place.
But this was a matter of life and death. Ashei was doing her best effort to defend the castle and the princess. So it was definitely okay to ensure her life wasn’t going to end here. That was how Charity was going to deduct her reasoning for exposing her healing powers and that she was a fae.
"You're going to be okay, miss. Just stay with us. Your wounds will be patched up in no time. I promise. Just stay with us, please." Thus the sugar pink fairy would remain by Ashei and Princess Zelda’s side until the healing process had been completed. She would be exhausted at the end of it all but it would be worth it to make sure nobody died from something as humiliating as sentient fruits and vegetables.
This was a story for when gets back to the Post Office.

[googlefont=Roboto] THOU seek the light with an outstretched hand
A divine blade lies before you
So command the wake of dreams
To restore the world, cut ‘way the seams Now she was embarrassed. Link's disappointed gaze caused her to sheepishly shrug - or well, she tried to before the pain set in. Yes, it was true, she wasn't invincible, and had she only heard the princess's calls seconds after her flurry of attacks, perhaps things would have been different.
It was too late to worry about it now, and with the fairy coming into contact and immediately doing all that she could to help, she felt a bit more relief that perhaps things would be better. She could wait to use the fairy at her disposal. Of course, this was why she had one to begin with... she guessed she was lucky one was more readily available than her own.
The princess's words were soft and apologetic, and she felt terrible for putting her through this much stress. Why was she so upset though? She was nothing more than a commoner, and sometimes people died in order to protect her... wasn't that normal? Of course, she didn't think her to be heartless, but she wasn't expecting her to act in such motherly fashion.
Before her thoughts could solidify into words, Zelda had then warned her of the removal of weapons from her body. Man... she really got herself mangled didn't she? She nodded very slightly, closing her eyes tightly as she felt the blade budge from her flesh and she began to groan loudly, trying her hardest not to fall under another frenzy of screams.
It was immediately met with the warming heals of the fairy, and she let out exhausted breaths that began to calm as she looked into the eyes of the princess again. Her chest was locked tight, and she found it hard to breathe normally while jagged breaths continued to escape.
"M-My name," she mused in response, her teeth clenching as the words escaped coarsely, "is Ashei Vitalis, daughter of Sir Joren."
She didn't want her father to be forgotten - or her family to be drowned away from their services to the royal family. She had intended to continue that duty to become a knight herself, but after today she felt too embarrassed to even look the princess in the eye anymore.
The healing was drawn out, and painful, at that, but with time, it began to settle as the deadly pain became a mere sting to the skin. She'd probably have to spend the next few days in the infirmary, which was a drag. She couldn't get herself in that much trouble again though - at least, not for a while.
