It took until sunset for everything on his end to be wrapped up. Longer than he wanted, yes, but shorter than he expected all the same. The blacksmith had done a wonderful job on quickly repairing some of his gear, though there were some things that hadn't been able to be salvaged. With a new satchel containing most of his sparse worldly belongings and a few potions added to it for emergencies, he felt a bit more prepared for the expedition ahead of him. That did pose a question - what exactly did the armor-clad warrior want them to meet him for?
No matter what, he had a first stop to make along the way. It gave him a bit of comfort knowing that he had someone to come along with him. While he had no doubt that Colin would jump at the chance of it, the boy's words were clear in his mind. He would be better off returning to Ordon and work on restoration efforts to ease his heart. If he couldn't shake that despair within him, he'd suffer like... well. Like Link himself continued to do. And he didn't wish that on anyone.
The fading fragments of light greeted him and Epona by the gate. He lead his horse carefully, adjusting a few straps while walking to make things more comfortable on her. Upon arriving, he dipped his head in a quick bow. "Good evening. I'm sorry for taking so long. There were a lot of things I needed to do that I didn't think of earlier in the day." MADE BY ★MEULK

[googlefont=Roboto] What I fear and what I've tried
Words I say and what I hide
All the pain, I want it to end
But I want it again
She wasn't quite sure when she'd be herself again. But she knew that it would be harder to sleep at night for a while. Even the thought of darkness shrouded her in caution as she wondered what laid beyond it. She still hadn't rested since before the Kakariko incident, but now things began to piece together like a puzzle, and she was able to properly understand the pattern of the beasts.
If the Hero of Time had truly went to the castle though... didn't that mean they won? She supposed she would find out in the future. She waited at the gates that Volga had instructed them to, being the first to arrive after she had her father properly taken care of by a good friend.
Sat on the ground beside her horse, she hid her face behind her knees as she wrapped her arms around them to keep them in place. The sound of hooves in the distance caught her attention as she slowly turned her face to make note of the golden haired Hylian that slowly approached - the very same from Telma's bar, and then the dragon fight.
She exchanged a glance with him for a moment, her eyes fixed upon his face as she scanned over him again and became lost in her thoughts once more, shaking it off before evading his eyes and looking back to the gate.
She slowly got herself up as Link had dismounted the horse and approached the others. Despite it only being several days prior, it felt like she hadn't seen him in a long while, as though she was familiarizing herself to an old acquaintance once more.
"Well, I didn't think we'd see each other again under such... somber circumstances," she pursed her lips.

SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU The errand that took the longest time to do was restoring the integrity of Seyka's Hylian Shield. All of the blacksmiths that managed to survive the attack on Castle Town with their workshops in tact were occupied with forging tools and supplies for the restoration efforts. Every other obligation she had to take care of had been handled to the best of her abilities. “Easy Aslan,” she cooed her steed. The stallion was not pleased with maneuvering through the rubble. Seyka kept a palm against him walking the streets. She was told to meet Link and his companions over by the gate so they could proceed to travel to Kakariko Village. Seyka had to shake off the foreign feeling of actually leaving Castle Town for the first time. A bundle of emotions waged a mental war against what would dominate her state of mind. She settled for the time being on low key anxiety. This was actually happening. The greenette prayed to the goddesses she didn’t keep them waiting. When she finally reached the gate, she noticed Link right away along with a familiar woman conversing with him. It was Miss Ashei Vitalis. The daughter of the late Sir Vitalis. The Hylian Knight nodded her head in acknowledgement of the current party. Link was a popular lad, wasn't he? So many people already knew him. “Good evening. I see everyone else here knows each other and through Link. Seyka Rozengale. Nice to meet everybody.” tag: Link, Ashei Vitalis, Volganotes: One pretty boy, two ladies and one angry dragon. From within the nearby stables, Volga heard the noise coming from the gate. He honestly expected it to take longer. Grabbing the reigns of the horse he had acquired for this venture, the dragon knight made his way out and walked alongside the horse towards the gate. It wasn't his and he hadn't met it before this afternoon, but he'd taken the time to calm it enough to permit him to ride. If its owner still yet lived, they would have likely come for it by now. It didn't matter too much to him, he'd let the beast roam or perhaps donate it to someone in Kakariko upon his arrival. He had no intent to care for it longer than needed to get back to Eldin.
Convening with the group shortly after the green knight's introduction, he surveyed their current state. The boy seemed fair enough, better than when he had arrived at the dragon fight. New gear and conviction in his eyes. Good, he'd need it. The woman seemed somber, but functional. It'll do for now. The green knight seemed the worst, with stiff movements. Almost as if she couldn't move her torso fully. Likely an injury sustained from wherever those two had come from prior to the dragon. She was missing the bow though. Did it end up breaking? Or was it not hers? Didn't matter much right now. It was a useful tool but hopefully they wouldn't need it. Volga himself, aside from the lingering damage to his armor revealing the portions of his torso that had previously been torn into, was fine. Though the damage would reveal the near uncountable amounts of scars and burns on his torso. He didn't seem to think much of it, as he secured his two spears and other large gear to the horse, most notably a very small set of wooden armor. It almost appeared to be sized for a child.
"Wasn't expecting the green one, but she's useful, so she can come," Volga remarked upon his arrival, perhaps the calmest that Link and Ashei have seen him in their limited interaction. He wasn't kind, but he wasn't angry. Rough around the edges would be the best way to put it. He turned to face the mountains of Eldin in the distance, giving a not so subtle indicator of where they were headed.
"Our destination is Death Mountain. We're going to be confronting the Goron Elders about their lack of activity during all this." Humans, Hylians, Fairies, Deku; some of the weakest races in Hyrule had fought against this sudden incursion, yet the Gorons sat by and watched the country burn. Volga was far from patriotic, but he had ended up involved in this. And if he was involved, he sure as fuck wasn't going to allow the strength of the Gorons to be wasted sitting on their asses. He'd baby'd them for a decade, it was time for them to actually do some work for once.

"Nevertheless, I'm glad to see you again, Ashei, and I'm..." The word 'sorry' didn't quite cut it. Link averted his eyes for a moment, his tongue feeling heavy in his mouth. "I'm here if you need someone to talk to." That encompassed everything he could put to words. That he was sorry she lost her father, that he wished he could have done more, that it would be easier with time, that he'd do whatever he could to help her through this. It didn't matter that they only encountered each other once before; he was a firm believer that affection between people transcended time. Feelings of friendship, of comradeship, could be instant.
Seyka followed in her arrival, and only a heartbeat later arrived Volga, explaining what he wanted to do and why he gathered them. He nodded his head in agreement, albeit hesitantly. The idea of confronting the Gorons was, well, rather terrifying no matter how he looked at it, because their strength was downright legendary. And in that vein came a pang of heartache. Their presence really could have changed the situation. With them, the tide might have changed much sooner.

[googlefont=Roboto] What I fear and what I've tried
Words I say and what I hide
All the pain, I want it to end
But I want it again
The intimacy of friendship was such a peculiar thing. In the moment Link had responded, she looked up at him carefully as they shared a gaze in agreement. Surely she'd probably end up talking to him before the night was over. There wasn't really anyone else whom she'd be able to vent about this with... especially after what she had just learned after the dragon was slain.
As Volga and Seyka arrived, she stood up and brought her attention to him in an instant before immediately mounting the black and white blotchy horse she was seated beside. She listened to the small talk, and then Volga's instructions on where they were headed.
...The Goron city? Honestly, she had never been there. Despite living in Kakariko for some time in her childhood, she never really noticed the goron people making any attempt to communicate with the village. Maybe she was too young to remember, but no one talked about them much. They always seemed a bit... shut in from everything.
"What exactly do you believe we will gain from this confrontation? I don't know very much about them, but from my time living in Kakariko, I remember hearing they weren't exactly... friendly," she admitted as she took the reigns of her steed at hand.
Especially the goron elders. The old ones. They were definitely not on good terms with any of us newer folk. Or that's what she would assume anyways. Most old people didn't like young people, since gorons are super old, that must mean they don't like us even more.
Link had chimed in with needing to do something once they arrived, and she agreed that a night of rest would do them all some good given the circumstances. "If I may, I'd like to help with some of the relief once this is over as well, unless you have bigger plans for us after this is over?"
LET'S GO ON AN ADVENTURE!

[attr="class","ohlove"] both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Really, the gall of those assholes. Seriously, hopefully helping Fress out wouldn't bite him in the ass. Nuada had made some snide remark about him as he was walking away, he'd heard it, true. But he was a Warden, and above the pettiness of a Hylian Knight. Midna better be thankful for all the shit he was going through to protect her people. Really now. It had left him in a foul mood, but he was doing everything he can to keep it from getting any worse. Instead, he simply continued to walk a brisk pace towards the eastern entrance, or what was left of it, so he could get to Kakariko. This was probably going to be an all-nighter for him, he had to get moving. Maybe he could get a horse or something.
At least until he saw a group of four, all but one he recognized. Ashei, Link, and Seyka. Company that he knew, it was comforting in a way, even with what had happened with Ashei. He frowned slightly, wondering how things were going to be between them. Even if she didn't seem to blame him, he hoped their friendship wasn't at an end. Still, "They can be, they're just lazy." His voice interjected for Ashei as he approached the group and made himself known, Dominion rod in his hand. "The simple truth is that as long as the mountain is not threatened, they won't care." For better or worse, Nimue had never bothered with Death Mountain. He knew why exactly that was, and Ashei did too. He wondered if Link and Seyka knew too, considering he'd told Midna right there in the throne room.
So there he was, still with a bloodied as all hell shirt, frazzled and disheveled as all hell, but still ready to go. He explained his presence with a shrug. "I have business in Kakariko. Hope you don't mind." Mind if he tagged along. He glanced at Ashei for a moment before his gaze turned down, she might have a problem with it. "I can go separately if you'd like." He quickly offered, just in case Ashei did object. He didn't want to be a cause for strife for everyone especially after everything they had all been through. He shot Seyka a look though, a look that said he hoped she wasn't pushing herself. SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU If Seyka remembered her studies correctly then the Gorons were one of the rock-headed folk of the mountain dwellers. They believed strength in being a key factor in pushing forward in what they do. It was strange to not see any of them during the attack. What was happening with them? It would be imperative to inquire what their activities were since none were found during Hyrule’s desperate times. Their strength would've been very handy during the initial attacks happening. The greenette’s focus returned to reality when she noticed Alexander arriving and asking to join them. The pointed look he gave her was met was a deadpan stare. “I’m still in the process of healing,” she explained, “So, while we’re there, I’ll try to collect as much information as I can. Perhaps establish diplomacy in regards to current events and the relief efforts.” If the Gorons were truly a stubborn lot who saw no need for helping those who didn’t dwell on their mountains then they were fools. Though she had hope they would be able to be more acute to their surrounding neighbors than maybe (or maybe not the) others give them credit for. “If we're all present and accounted for then I wait for everyone’s final word for departure.” tag: Link, Ashei Vitalis, Volga, Alexander Elessarnotes: Sorry for the hold up! They didn't argue the destination, that made things simple. Volga climbed atop the back of the horse he'd commandeered and got ready to ride, noticing another face approaching them. This one he didn't recognize at all, though judging by appearances he had been rather busy in the chaos. He didn't immediately offend Volga with his very presence, so good start. He also seemed to recognize the others, so probably useful. At the very least, not useless. That seemed to be a distinction he'd have to start making now with some of the people he had run into recently.
"Don't slow us down," was all Volga remarked in response to the human's arrival, before noting the words of the others. The boy had business in Kakariko beforehand, the girl wanted to help with relief efforts afterwards, and the green one intended to....I guess attempt diplomacy with the Gorons. Well, her work would either be easier or harder depending on how the Elders reacted. He did not intend to hold anything back.
"What you all do afterwards is up to you. Take care of what business you wish to upon our arrival, we will meet the following morning at the entrance to the Goron Village. Do not try to approach the Elders without me, you will get shut out." He made sure to stress that last bit. Very few could approach the Goron Elders, fewer still unannounced. The dragon knight's work earned him that special privilege, but it was very possible that he'd be burning bridges if this went poorly. At that point though, he'd just take what he wanted from the caves and let the Gorons fend for themselves.
"Though if you intend to squander your time with diplomacy and menial labor, then I suggest you depart the Goron Village quickly after our work is done. If you intend to become stronger to fend off other threats to the land, do what the bystanders cannot, then I have more for you afterwards." his final statement was more directed to Link and Ashei, easily determined by the way he was facing, though he didn't give any kind of rejection to the other two. He just had no frame of reference; the human he had just met, the green one was not an archer. As far as he was concerned, he had nothing to go off of for the green one's actual abilities. Especially if she was still sporting a major injury inhibiting her abilities.
Without another word, Volga snapped the reins on the horse and departed from the gate, beginning the trip to Eldin and Kakariko. The human could hitch a ride with one of the others, or get his own horse. It was his job to not slow down the group, not Volga's.

Ashei’a desire to help with relief efforts was a noble one, something he was glad to see. In the coming days the capitol would be swarmed with those who held the same sentiment and wish. How would things fair there? Would Kakariko and Ordon also begin to return to what they once were? He hoped so, if nothing else. It would ease the mind of the young boy in the swamp who lost his entire world. One day, he might even become mayor of the rebuilt town.
“Alex, with me.” Had Seyka been without steed of her own, Epona would gladly carry her as well. But both she and Asher were well prepared, as was Volga, and he knew the weight of the human wouldn’t bother his gal much more than his did. Link gripped the reins, a grin on his face despite the overall somber mood. “Princess style.” Trying to lift the tension helped make him feel a bit better if nothing else.
The ride to Kakariko would be a long one. Then, he’d break off to do what he needed to do, and meet others up the mountain later. Who knows? Maybe Alex would want to come along to deal with the Elders too. Never hurt to have more useful hands in action. MADE BY ★MEULK

[googlefont=Roboto] THOU seek the light with an outstretched hand
A divine blade lies before you
So command the wake of dreams
To restore the world, cut ‘way the seams As they were beginning to gather themselves to their horses, it seemed at the last moment someone had ran up unannounced requesting to join. The voice was clear and familiar as the raven haired woman swiftly turned to face the approaching man.
Eyes narrowed for a moment, as her chest tightened in conflict. Would whatever dangers follow them once more should he come with them? But... the shadow wasn't with him. So most likely not. It didn't stop her from worrying though, and her lips pursed together tightly as she tried to come up with words. She didn't want to turn him away, but there was a voice in the back of her mind that was protesting.
Before she could respond, Volga gave his approval before striding off on his horse. She turned back around, facing away from the others as her fingers laced with the reins in her hand. She let out a deep breath, and then heard Link speak.
He knew Alex - of course he did, they probably met at the castle. Even if she wanted to say no, it would be awkward to reject his request now that the others were acknowledging his company.
"Just... it's fine," she nodded, eyes set for the path ahead as she clicked her boot against the stallion's side and followed in Volga's path. She wasn't mad at him. She wasn't even upset with him. But something kept nudging in her brain that him tagging along might be a bad idea.
She couldn't really place why though. Perhaps it was bias.

[attr="class","ohlove"] both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Well, at least she was starting to get herself patched up, maybe if they found a fairy in Kakariko or something she could be fully healed up. Of course, had he bothered to wait a few more seconds back with Fress, then he probably wouldn't be here. Good job, Alex. He gave her a soft smile, clearly satisfied with her answer. "Good, try not to let the ride jostle it all too much. I'll check it again when we next stop." Well, if she didn't know how to do it herself at this point anyway. It wasn't too hard. Reapply the splint, change the bandages, nothing too major. Really all this was at this point for her was simple tedium.
Before turning over to Volga and promptly freezing for a moment. Gods above. Just a coincidence he was sure, nothing to really think about. He just shoved that nagging feeling down and just gave a smarmy grin. "And unless you've got a secret technique that could've stopped a crazy bitch that can break weapons by swatting them and obliterate entire rooms with massive sword blasts cold, I think I'll manage." It was probably the first time anyone who had fought the Lightbringer had opened up with an idea of what exactly had happened in that throne room. It wasn't pretty, but it'd probably be lost on Ashei and Volga. Maybe.
He did his best to avoid Ashei, keeping from establishing eye contact. Right, she clearly wasn't thrilled to see him. He could understand that, he would just avoid her if he had to. But it seemed he was going with them, otherwise he would've backed out. With Link's invitation, well, he'd take him up on that offer. Climbing onto Epona's back, Alex, without any ceremony whatsoever, wrapped his arms around the Hylian's waist, leaned against him, and got comfortable. "You did say princess style." He rolled his eyes, keeping his grin. Really, Link had set himself up for it, he really did. SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU It would seem their journeys were going to be filled with plenty of eventful activities along the way. The greenette was still trying to reel in the fact this was all real. Yet the smell of smoke, burnt houses and rubble all around her was prominent in her nose. The sight of desolation flooding her sight was enough proof to remind her what had happen was part of reality. And in this reality, she was leaving the ruins of the place she called home in order to help these people be rid of the heart of the matter. To become stronger than she was before. She couldn’t help but wonder though as she looked at her traveling companions. What is true strength? Physical prowess that nobody could force to submit under their rule? The ability to talk their way into influencing a crowd? “Very well.” The one whom she gave the loose title of Dragon Knight was as impersonal as he was stalwart in his abilities. A curious one no doubt, but Seyka feared she’d gain no more than what he wanted to provide as a person than what he wished to see the mettle of a person. Link, Ashei and Alexander were easier to socialize with compared to the responses provided. She will adapt and act accordingly. Less she be a burden to anyone. In the mean time, she propped herself onto her white stallion, Aslan, very slowly and got comfortable before awaiting everybody else to saddle up. Once that was taken cared of, she kept the reigns in her hand tight before leading her horse a few feet shy behind Epona. tag: Link, Ashei Vitalis, Volga, Alexander Elessarnotes: I'm late, I'm late.
