SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU  The Light Arrow found its mark. Seyka watched from the distance as it not only made a direct hit but burned Ceregan fatally. None of the shadows around its body was trying to regenerate or spawn monsters. Light element was not something anyone could be bestowed with on a whim. Princess Zelda was truly a blessed woman. The Hylian Knight owed a hefty amount of gratitude in the future to the Monarch. For now, she had to ensure this monster fell so that any future plans could be enacted later. What happened next threw her off slightly. Seyka could feel her stomach lurch as she saw Hylian Knights attempt to ride in bravely at the Dragon. Only to be met with a terrible fate. “Not again. Stop. Just stop…” The screams of a woman pierced her ear. More fallen comrades. Gritting her teeth, she tightened her grip on the Golden Bow. Eyes locked onto the dragon once again, steadying herself with Link's support. A soft nod of her head in response to Link's encouragement. “By Din's power, Naryu's wisdom, and Farore's courage, may this beast finally find rest!”Another arrow of radiant golden energy flowed into the knock of the bow when she pulled the drawstring. It’s glowing light intensified until the energy solidified it’s form. Taking aim, Seyka let the arrow fly true once more aiming it at Ceregan.

As soon as he peered into the open area, he saw as a familiar figure was suddenly trapped within the mouth of the beast. Flailing about, he shielded his eyes from the gruesome sight, but immediately turned to Ashei, whom was frozen in fear. There were few times Cas had ever seen Ashei in such a state of trauma, and this was about to be one of them.

As though his adrenaline was kicking out his previous obstacle of pain, he pulled himself from the ground and leaned against the building for support, one arm clutching around his side while the other gripped the siding of the structure. He didn't know what to say - or what to do for that matter, but his attention was suddenly brought to the two people on the roof.

They came from the castle. They must have! Turning to see the glimmering arrow blast into the eye of the beast, it began to flail about, and Ashei went running toward her father who was thrown against a wall. He groaned in pain for a moment, but turned back to the dragon as it began to twirl its flames from its mouth. He didn't have time.

"HEY! WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T USE MUNDANE WEAPONS! ONLY MAGIC HURTS THIS THINGS, OTHERWISE IT WILL SPAWN MORE OF THOSE LITTLE MONSTERS!"

God he hoped that the two on the roof heard him. They were the final hope of really killing this thing; Ashei was too broken down, and the others were doing what they could, but more bodies to fight would end this battle sooner.

[/b] I would say the round has been reset but... As expected, Ashei's boomerang flew into the stream of inky black fire, scattering it and throwing it back at Ceregan. It burned away more of its skull, leaving it more flatfaced than anything as it began to eat away at its torso. Its own fire burning away its flesh seemed to prevent spawning. Oh, if only someone with bombs or explosives of some kind had been part of the team~ Xiotis's wild flailing wasn't expected at all, at least not by the beasts. The one approaching Volga from behind growled as the scythe bit into it, again and again. Her relentless aggression, fueled by anger and indignance rather than any form of finesse, caused too much damage before the beast was able to retaliate, finding itself hacked apart as it fell away into a pile of sludge. It would be back soon, unless quickly dispatched by something that could burn it away or sever its connection. The other beasts stopped, staring at Xiotis, their focus entirely on her as she desired. It gave Volga the out that he needed as he escaped, getting back up onto the back of the dragon. With Volga not appearing as much of a threat due to his flight away from the beasts, they all roared, split up, and attempted to reconverge around Xiotis from her front and her sides, aiming to tear her apart. Xiotis's heroism and valiant efforts had been recognized, of course, for beasts that operated on pack mentality and focused on the largest threat, that had a tendency to make you a bigger target. With Volga having landed up on the beast, he of course, landed while dragonfire was being thrown back into the face of the dragon, just like last time. Leaving himself at the neck no less! While Ceregan caught the worst of it, stray bits of the blast slammed into Volga, and while not forcing him back, managed to cook through his armor, burning his chest. While it may have cauterized the worst of the previous wound, it was still nasty, and would likely ache for days after. [ Volga , False Dragonfire to the chest, Moderate] Digging his spear back into the flailing creature's neck, Ceregan didn't even notice, already being in too much pain. Meanwhile, inside Ceregan, Morpheus made his choice. When he grasped the heart, it locked his hands to the organ for a few seconds. Visions filled his mind, but one in particular came to him; soft giggling of a young woman. The vision of a destroyed room filled his mind, with two warriors, one fatally injured, standing up to a girl with white hair, red eyes, and a black dress. Her gaze seemed to focus a little as she looked past the two - and at Morpheus, sticking her tongue out just a little. Guess she'd taken an interest in Morpheus. However, he was able to tear the heart asunder, and at once the dragon froze. The fighting stopped barring the three beasts for just a moment, they continued their assault on Xiotis. Slowly, the dragon fell apart, offering no final words, only increasingly gurgly roars. Volga sank with the creature, and found himself in the middle of what remained of it, as well as Morpheus. Namely, they were in the middle of a massive pool of sludge. After the dragon had been "killed" by a mundane weapon. This was going to suck. Beasts immediately began to spawn from what remained. Twenty in all, they surrounded the two, and all began to snarl as they looked at all the fresh meat. The three from before continued their assault, and when the puddle came back it would be twenty four. Well, twenty three. While the Light Arrow had been aimed at Ceregan, it did wind up blasting through one of the beasts, obliterating it in one shot. Good job, Sey! The howling began and the claws were out and they all began to rush the party on the ground. Might want to get out of there, chuckles. The time for solo theatrical heroics was over. Five fingers would no longer work. It was time to unite; either form into one fist or be destroyed. Beasts Remaining: 23 Beasts Temporarily Incapacitated: 1 Admin Note: The Round has been reset. Admittedly, he knew there was a chance of this happening. It didn't make the burning any less painful. Volga gritted his teeth as the fake dragon's flame cauterized his bleeding, only to add more burns on top of that. But he made it to his objective, and was digging into the thing's neck, when it....sank? It turned to sludge. It's entire body turned to sludge. Volga immediately put away his hookshot and pulled out his Gale Boomerang upon realizing what had just happened, keeping the Deku Spear ready.
As expected, a whole mob of the beasts spawned from the "corpse" of the dragon. Whatever the shadow being had done in there certainly killed the dragon, but it didn't prevent more from spawning. They now had quite the clean-up duty ahead of them. The girl was still dealing with the ones he'd left before, so he'd leave her to that. Not like he knew of anything she could do that'd be more useful than what she was already doing anyway. However, noting the effect the flame had on the dragon, he had an idea of what could help with these mobs. And there was enough fire around them from the other ruined buildings and knocked-over torches to do it.
"WOMAN! USE THE WIND FROM YOUR BOOMERANG TO LIGHT AS MANY OF THEM ON FIRE AS YOU CAN!" he shouted, immediately throwing his towards the nearest source of flame he could. The intent was to use the wind generated by it to spread the flame directly onto the beasts. It wasn't enough to make a fire tornado, but it would hopefully catch the beasts themselves alight. Ideally, the woman would do the same. "SHADOW BEING! GRAB MY BOOMERANG ON ITS RETURN AND AID HER!"
He didn't care how he did it, or that the "shadow being" was currently a dragon skull. He'd seen the other transform into a form not its own back in Eldin; he just assumed it was a thing their kind could do. Whatever the fuck they were. As the boomerang left his hands, he switched to dual wielding his dragon spear and the deku spear, "BOW KNIGHT! SHOOT AS MANY AS YOU CAN! BLEED UPON THE STRING IF YOU MUST!"
He didn't intend to use the dragon spear to do damage. As the hordes came in, he would use the dragon spear to parry and the Deku spear to aim for headshots. He wouldn't waste his time on anything less than a lethal blow, so if he didn't think he could land it, he would focus on defense. He had to keep the deku spear in tact, and he had to make sure every single attack with it was lethal. "HYLIAN BOY! GET DOWN HERE AND ATTACK ANY BEASTS THAT GET CAUGHT AFLAME!" Hopefully this idea worked. As he fought his defensive dual-spear battle, he worked his way through the mob, though focusing more on defense than movement to make sure he wouldn't get counter-intuitively stabbed in the back by one as he moved.
He didn't bother with anything for the sniveling boy. Didn't even know if the kid was still alive. Didn't really care. He had more important things to worry about.

With the flames dispensing themselves across the Dragon's mouth, it once again caused the tissue to fade away into the skull. Catching her boomerang as it returned, she stepped back down to her father. One final blow with the light arrow and this thing was down for good!
Well, sort of. As the dragon had suddenly morphed into dozens of those shadowy creatures, she turned herself around again, trying to delete what she had just witnessed. She was white as chalk. Her eyes and her mouth were frozen wide open in an expression of stunned surprise, and although she was staring straight at her father's glossy gaze, she appeared not to notice him at all.
Although she expected for shadows to appear - she never fathomed it would produce so many. Her brain had shut down. She was clammy and there was the glisten of a cold sweat. Her eyes were as wide as if someone was coming to deliver the fatal blow. Yet what she saw, no-one else could see. Trapped in her own psychosis, a living nightmare for one, tailor made by her own brain to play on her deepest fears.
But then she saw a chance to redeem their victory.
The need for revenge was like a rat gnawing at her soul, relentless, unceasing; it could only be stopped by the cold steel of a rat trap, a trap she would devise herself. Vengeance was like an abscess on the skin of the soul that could only be cured by the cruel sharp steel point of settling the score. Festering like a septic wound. Savage. Spiteful. She would bare a grudge until she died or took revenge, whichever came first.
She turned back slowly, stepping up and scanning the area for Cas's sword-- and as her gaze locked in on it, she sprinted for action, only to be commanded by Volga a short moment later. Pausing and taking note of his idea, she watched him move forth with it and she nodded attentively.
The sword would have to wait.
Flickering the boomerang within her grasp, she positioned herself to the nearest source of fire before twisting her arm and flicking it in and setting it aflame. Carrying the fire across the area, it fell into the path of several shadowed beasts, hoping for them to catch in the flames.

SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU The greenette watched the arrow fly true. It’s target was the dragon which froze in place for only the briefest of seconds. Seyka thought it was long enough for the arrow to reach its mark, but tragically it wasn’t. Without warning, the drake of darkness had began to melt away turning into sludge she recognized from back within the throne room in Hyrule Castle. A swamp of black sludge covered the grounds and with it came out shadow creatures straight out of nightmares. She cringed at the sight. “Can you fight?” she asked Link, “I’ll be fine up here. They’re going to need help down there. My sword won't be of much help, but my shield still has it's enchantment. It can protect you and whoever you defend. Just... be safe. Don't do anything rash this time around.” She offered him one last grateful smile. Then her gaze returned back over to the ensuing madness. A small army had been formed from the remains of the shadow dragon. Her hands were coated in calluses, thanks to many years of training with weapons, but they would still end up bleeding at the end of the battle. She'll make sure they saw victory. “It shall be done, Dragon Knight,” she replied back. She drew back the drawstring of the golden bow once more. Just like before, arrows made out of radiant glowing light appeared as she let loose the magical projectile once again in hopes of slaying another beast. Seyka pulled back the draw string again once more. And again, and again, attempting to snipe at each and every one of the shadow monsters to dwindle down their numbers.

After her rage fizzled out, Xiotis was soon stuck with the full brunt of the beasts. Unfortunately, the number of them had grown quite a bit due to the circumstances of Ceregan's death. Fortunately, the Dragon Knight appeared to have a plan. Only downside was it did not involve her, but she was used to that by now. She would have healed Volga's wounds, but the Will Skull would have only reduced the damage by half. Also, she wasn't entirely sure if the beasts had the same advantages as the dragon. There were very few ways Xiotis could fight without interfering with the plan. Fortunately, she had at least one idea.
"I'm just going to assume I'm of no use in this plan," she said, "so I'll just take of these three and you guys do what you gotta do."
Xiotis summoned thorny vines to ensare the three monsters currently after her and threw her scythe in hopes that it would slice through them and come back before getting in the way of the inferno in the making.
"Ah to hell with it," she said, throwing the Will Skull Volga's way, "Hold that skull for a second. It won't completely heal you, but that's all I got."

 Volga's yell put him in a position to work as a tag team with Ashei, and with Seyka's words, he set off to work. It was during his descent from the roof that he caught wind of the words from the scythe-bearer, earning an arched brow in her direction. How could she be of use in any plan when she had a hoard surrounding her? Didn't she have enough on her plate to worry about without being directly addressed by another?
Thankfully some of the flames leaping from beast to beast with the boomerang's attempt at spreading the fire landed on a few near Xiotis, and seeing as how a great number wanted to make a meal out of her, he focused on them. It was, unfortunately, a mundane blade, and if that bit him in the ass later, he'd have no one to blame but himself. The shield, though, as Seyka spoke, held an enchantment within it, and between the combo of the two items, he was able to begin tearing through many of the mob.
If they all kept working, the day would be won. Just a little more effort, blood, sweat, and tears, and they'd have the victory they deserved. MADE BY ★MEULK |

As the dragon had divided into the dozens of shadowy creatures, he felt his heart sink as they scattered about the place. Without proper footing, they would surely overpower everyone. As the Hylian boy had leaped down from the rafters, he joined the others to help defend against the swarms that surrounded them. Cassius would have to choose where to go quickly.

The sword! He made note that Ashei had also given eye contact for it, and as the two of them were rushing to meet with it, Ashei was driven back by Volga's roar of commands, and she followed suit to his idea. The more that could fight, the better, and as he continued to push away the pain, he moved as quickly as he could without straining himself as his hands met with the hilt of the blade and then quickly turned out of the way of the monsters.

It seemed dangerous - trying to move within the flow of bloodthirsty shadows, but he stayed close to the outskirts, keeping himself in path with the shadowy beasts that should catch flames from the boomerangs. As he circled his way around and made himself close to Ashei's side, his eyes wandered to her father beside them, and then quickly turned back in anxiety before pushing the sword in Ashei's direction.

"See if this works. It's enchanted to only work while in your possession. Very light magic, but magic nonetheless. Give me the boomerang and I'll keep your flow. If this doesn't work, I'll give it back."

His eyes widened when the heart locked with his clawed hand. The visions which flooded his mind turned his blood cold. Who were those people? Why did the one girl with snow white hair and bloodstone eyes give him the creeps? She even looked back in his direction, specifically right at him. He didn’t have enough time to think too much on it before the very structure of the dragon woke him up from the trance.
Back in reality, his claws found its way into the heart puncturing into the organ. But because it was fell by his claws there were consequences to his actions. Instead of dealing with one giant problem, they were dealing with a small army of a problem. What remained of the dragon turned into a swamp of sludge from which more shadow fucks risen from.
He quickly jumped into the closest shadow in the area, which happened to be Volga's, realizing they still were in broad sunlight. Morpheus quickly reverted back to his humanoid form when he heard the Dragon Knight roar his commands. He couldn’t hold a boomerang in his Shadow Beast form.
When he spotted the boomerang making it's round about, he jumped out of the shadow, reaching out to catch it. He used the momentum to aim it in tandem with Ashei, so it's projection would assist in fanning the flames onto the shadow spawns. He wish he could've stayed to find out how it turned out, but he quickly jumped back into the shadows as any long exposure would hurt him again.

THERE IS NO POSTING ORDER, BUT YOU CAN ONLY POST ONCE BEFORE THE BOSS.The boomerang throws, all masterfully coordinated, was able to sweep and spread the fire over the mob of beasts before an effective attack could be coordinated, while the fire began to spread elsewhere and among different buildings, this was a small price to pay. While they weren't able to catch them all, they caught a significant amount of them. Slowly the flames began to crackle as they all panicked at once, attempting to swat out the flames. What would have been a coordinated assault simply turned into the Hyrulean equivalent of a mosh pit as the beasts began to stampede in an attempt to get away from the fire. Seyka's wild flurry of arrows wouldn't always find their marks; much smaller targets who were now rampaging randomly, but she hit a couple. Two arrows pierced two of the beasts, slowly disintegrating as they burned away into nothingness. Light magic was still as powerful as ever. Meanwhile, Link's blows managed to cut into one of the flaming beasts as it took too much damage to retain its form, and simply pooled into sludge. Normally this would be foreboding, if not for the flames that continued to creep and consume it. It seemed the Dragon Knight had indeed found a strategy to quickly wrap this all up. It only involved burning the capital to the ground but hey! Sometimes to save the cottage you gotta burn it. Xiotis's beasts weren't initially caught in the blast, but the fire began to spread from the small embers from the already flaming beasts. Normally this wouldn't have meant anything, but the vines she had summoned soon found themselves lighting up, which naturally spread to the beasts she had ensnared. Maybe that was a hint. You know. Hintedy hintedy hint hint wink nudge hint. You know. Hint. With the plants. The planty plant things that can catch fire. Hint hint hint hint hint hint hintedy hint hint. Regardless, as her scythe cut through the three and turned them to sludge once again, the fire consumed the sludge, making sure they wouldn't rise again. It seemed that she was in the lead killwise. The one that Xiotis had flailed nearly to death eventually reformed and joined the mob. Normally there would have been a counterattack, but with all the fire, the beasts just couldn't coordinate well enough for it. Instead, they just began to mob and stampede, heading in the direction of the original group with an additional Link, ready to accidentally trample them under a stampede of burning fire. Beast after beast fell, but there were so many. Exhaustion pinged at every part of his body. It felt heavy and sore, and the idea of a hot bath and soft bed were the most appealing things in the world at the moment.
Moving out of the way from the stampede and hoping Xiotis would do the same, the Hylian focused on cutting through the beasts that attempted to make an escape. He forced himself to press on a bit more, praying to the goddesses that his strength lasted one more sword stroke, then another and another after that.. MADE BY ★MEULK |

Xiotis quickly dodged the stampede and surrounded herself in buttercup flowers, with their petals melded together and sharpen to become arrows. While not completely lethal, these particular flowers were extremely poisonous. Shooting the arrows through the fire and towards the monsters that were not consumed in flames and/or already dead, she hoped the combination of fire and poisoned wounds would quickly eradicate the foes that weren't already frying.
"Dang," she said, "Looks like somebody ordered their chicken extra crispy."

Looked like fire did the trick. The collateral damage was irrelevant at this point, Castle Town was already destroyed. If the infection needed to be cleansed by fire, then so be it. Volga was mindful of keeping the Deku Spear away from the spreading flames, leading with the dragon spear. The majority of the beasts were consumed in flames, with only a few left untouched. The hylian boy was able to strike one down and the flames kept it from reforming, the girl surprisingly was able to subdue a few of them with the flames consuming her vines. It was then that he saw the girl throw a small, skull-shaped item his way, coated in green flame. He'd seen that flame mending wounds before.
So he caught it with his teeth, letting the green flame do its work without letting himself be disarmed of either weapon. Moving for the offensive, he aimed a strike at the head of one of the burning beasts with his dragon spear, shoulder-checking another burning beast that was rampaging near him to push it away before swiping at its largely clean legs with the deku spear. It didn't seem they could focus on attacking anybody while consumed in flames, so he'd make use of it.
Moving through the crowd towards a beast that was not caught in flames, he aimed a strike at its head with the Deku Spear, while swinging the dragon spear in a wide arc beside him to fend off and ideally land a hit on nearby burning beasts. The arc was at neck level, so the ideal would be removing their heads. He didn't bark any new orders; they knew what to do, and he was gonna hold onto this little skull item for a bit.

SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU A thin line marred the greenette’s face realizing rapid fire shooting wasn’t doing the trick. The sporadic movements of the shadow spawns were too fast for the light arrows to strike true. With Link departing to help the group on the ground, Seyka had to angle her body slightly to keep any weight off the injured side. Readjusting her position, she stabilized her footing this time to take the time to take accurate aim at the monsters. Keen eyes looking at their movements carefully moving closer. “You’re not getting away this time,” she said firmly. Drawing the bow back, the Light Arrows formed and Seyka took her shots. This time, taking a few seconds to carefully time their erratic movements with more precision, and attempting snipe them down before they can land fatal hits on any of the members of the group.
