[attr="class","yae"] Another day, another pile of rupees to make. "Get hot! Taste good!" In her heavily accented, broken Hylian tongue, the foreign merchant waved one arm excitedly in the air. The other was too busy picking up a delicious smelling object to bother waving. As if to prove her point, she started to fan the food item and then took a large bite from it, revealing that the inside had a large amount of meat mixed with other things. "One, one rupee! Just one! Buy dozen, cheaper! Only ten! Ten rupee! Get twelve! For ten! Good deal! Is good deal!"Windfall Port opened up a wide variety of opportunities. With her wagon parked behind the stall she rented for the day, she had easy access to disappear for a few moments (always within eyesight of her goods, mind you) and make sure more of the meat buns were cooking properly while waiting for more customers. So far, it had been a bit lacking on that end, but... the day was young. As long as she sold a hundred individual or ten dozens, she'd be content. Unfortunately, she was fairly content, especially with a self-imposed goal of one hundred rupees daily. Putting on her best smile and leaning forward to extend her reach, she pointed to the bun once more. "Good health! Fills stomach, yum yum! Helps digestion!"@open! 精神病の愛 You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated, I see the wires pulling while you're breathing. TAG @yae WORDS - - - NOTES woot! | scylla was in the midst of taking stock of her recently-acquired rupees. she had sold a decent amount of fish and other items of relevance to those whom sought them out. it wasn't her best haul - nor was she granted the opportunity to completely empty out her stock. the small amount left - several fish, to be exact - would serve as her dinner tonight. scylla's belly was beginning to stir in discontent at the thought of food, rumbling noisily at its owner to fill it. as a result, the zora stood upon the grounds of the market place, her dinner stored away and her pockets full.
'a quick fix'll do,' she thought, eyeing her immediate surroundings.
the scent of this place was overwhelming and the recently cooked foods that were being offered for consumption tempted her. she possessed enough money to indulge, and scylla intended to do to a certain degree. she felt saliva pool within her maw, tongue flicking out for a moment as she began to investigate the blessedly large selection.
'i'd honestly prefer a good deal. let's see...'
it didn't take long for her to hear the call of a certain bun-maker, her ears twitching slightly to reveal her interest before she began her approach. the smell wafting off the buns that were being presented were positively mouth-watering; and scylla soon found herself reaching for a rupee, intending to partake in one so to determine how tasty it was.
"gimmie one, lil lady."
she cast the girl a purposefully slight grin, offering up the little piece of treasure that boasted a green color.
"i think i'll give it a try before i buy more than one, yeah?" |

[attr="class","yae"] The arrival of a customer, and an interesting one at that, sparked the mood of the foreigner immensely. Zora were an exotic rarity on her small island; she'd only seen a few of them in her entire life. Traveling humans and Hylians were a bit more common, and the occasional Deku passing through wasn't unheard of. But Zoras and Gorons... no, they were most definitely not races she saw all that often. A shame for the former rather than the latter, because they were very defined in appearance. "For pretty girl, first free. Keep rupee." Yae pressed one finger to her cheek, winking as she did so, before turning to retrieve one of the fresher steamed buns. Warmth could be felt radiating through the white paper wrapping. She offered it out, using her other hand to gesture to it. "Eat while still steam! Hot, hot, but good! No burn, no worry. If like, buy twelve!" The scent drifting off the Zora didn't go unnoticed. She sniffed the air once, then twice, then settled back with a pleased smirk. "Off in sea? Fishy, fishy."Mmm, now that was an idea. She could replace the minced pork, ginger, and scallions with fish and scallops for another spin on the meat buns. If she did the fishing herself, it'd end up being cheaper than purchasing from another vendor. Something to consider more heavily in the future, most certainly. @scylla [googlefont=Open+Sans][newclass=.yae b]color:#FF2400;[/newclass]

TAG @yae WORDS - - - NOTES woot! | the zora's grin widened as she was offered the meaty delicacy - bearing her pointed teeth while doing so. she accepted both the bun and the compliment, gingerly handling the freshly-baked treat with her webbed paws. after offering it a curious sniff, she bit into the item, her teeth tearing eagerly into the soft bread. the taste of meat with a sprinkling of ginger soon brushed against her tongue, causing a hum of delight to take leave of her filled mouth.
"it's good," she stated, her voice muffled as she chewed.
scylla finished it off quickly, her pointed tongue flicking out to clean off the grease that now clung onto her claws.
"i'll take the twelve for ten rupee, then."
the female's now emptied hands settled upon the rounded curve of her own hips, her gaze taking stock of the female whom had masterfully crafted such a delectable food.
"yeah," she replied, the slits which served as her nostrils flaring slightly. "went fishin'. good haul, too."
the zora leaned closer, a curious gleam in her eye as she glanced at the wagon.
"haven't seen ya 'round these parts before," scylla began. "'least i don't think i have. my memory can be absolute shit, on most occasions." |

[attr="class","yae"] Success! A brown paper bag served her purpose perfectly. Setting off to work, the fox-eared female began to carefully place each bun inside so that nothing became smashed. Stiff pieces of seaweed were added between each individual bun so that the moisture would soften that rather than the buns itself. For the most part the trick worked, but it really depended on how long it took the Zora to get around to eating the tasty treats. "New to port," Yae offered up at the question behind the statement. How many days had it been since she arrived? Not many at all, and more than likely, it wouldn't be many more that she'd stay. "Travel lot. Better business if keep move. Find more things. Sell more things."She placed the prepared bag on the rented stall, pursing her lips the slightest bit. "Fish often? Interested. How much fish sell for? Could use fishy fish. Make new bun type. Sea flavor sell well in port."@scylla [googlefont=Open+Sans][newclass=.yae b]color:#FF2400;[/newclass]

while her original plans were to prep the fish for consumption she had no issue with parting with them for a fair price. after all, she could always purchase a nicer meal instead.
"got three left, actually," she continued, counting her rupees with care. "i'll give 'em up for fifteen rupees. wanna see 'em before you agree to that kinda price, lil lady?"
her gaze concentrated upon the features of the young woman, taking in her physical attributes with a small show of interest.
'a minish?'
she was a pretty gal - yet she appeared to be younger than the zora. as a result, scylla stifled her flirtatious nature, focusing instead on the conversation currently taking place. the information that had been offered had interested her, after all. that coupled with the accent that the little lady proudly boasted caused the woman to grow a touch more eager for information relating to the minish.
"so you travel by your lonesome, 'ey? sounds a bit dangerous for someone as small and cute as yourself." |

[attr="class","yae"] Her tight purse strings called out in pain at the price. It hadn't been the most profitable day yet, but at the the same time, she'd most likely be able to get enough meat off the fish to make a few dozen buns. It'd be an investment that could yield a nice profit. Spending money to make money was second nature, and plus, she'd actually only be spending five actual rupees if she looked at it another way. Didn't help her frugal heart from breaking just a bit. Teeny tiny bit. Sadly. "See fish. If good fish, give five rupees and free buns?" Handing the money back to the Zora was always an option as well, but it'd keep her from needing to pass things over after she finished counting them out. Picking up the half-eaten bun she'd used as an example, Yae took another chunk out of it and mauled over the the words. "Dangerous at times. No lie. Lots of... of..." She squinted momentarily, struggling to find the right words. When she apparently couldn't, she waved her hand and huffed slightly. "Bad men. Groups. Monsters, too. Have to deal with."Being able to shrink down might help her out, but it didn't help her horse or caravan out. That's why she loved her daggers; things rarely saw them coming before they were embedded between their eyes. "Staying in place... bad most time. Better to move. More customers, more sell. Is good business. Fishy fish move too. Zora stay or go with fish?"@scylla [googlefont=Open+Sans][newclass=.yae b]color:#FF2400;[/newclass]
