If my velocity starts to make you sweat
then just don't let go
What was it he needed in Ordo--oh right it had been destroyed. Well then maybe he could find it in Kakarik--right that'd been destroyed too. Then maybe going all the way out to get some ingredients was pointless if he could just get it in the capit-right that had been wrecked as well. So for upstanding Warlocks (he made sure that the terminology was used, he was not a witch, though he was, kind of) like him, he was realizing that the only way he could realy get anything was if he went into the wilds and got it himself. This would be all well and good, if he hadn't gotten rid of the Obsidian Tower.
So, paying for a carriage ride whilst simultaneously committing fraud, Jace rued the day he chose to get rid of it in favor of learning to make an improved and better staff. Oh he could make it now but the time required to put it all together and enchant it was really something else. This was going to take forever. Then when he got back, would they even need the spells anymore? Would they even want them? When he got back from this he would have to make it a point to sit down and create a new staff so he could get back to flying.
If he got back anyway. There were always problems in the woods, weren't there? Thanking the driver as he got out, and noting just how quickly the carriage high tailed it out of there, Jace began to explore the woods of Faron. Without his staff. And unarmed. Really, the more he thought on it, the more he regretted destroying it. He should've at least kept it until the new one was made! But, he had at least some provisions so he wouldn't go completely hungry, oh, and he brought a list of what he needed! Yes, he needed that.
Taking his list out, in the middle of the woods, the archmage began to read it.
And noted that the ink had smudged. The court mage could only stare as he examined his surroundings. Tree and plant everywhere. And he'd forgotten to bring a map. By all the gods, he could die out here!
Oh bother.
