[attr="class","resetapptitle1"]BIOGRAPHY
[attr="class","resetapptext"]Born in the Zora Domain, as most Zoras are, Len's life started off fairly normally, but rather boring for him. Even from a young age Len had a desire to explore, but being so small and having such protective parents left him stuck staying in the Domain save for the few times they would take him to Lake Hylia nearby. Whenever those days came, Len took to them with vigor, swimming out as far as he could before his parents would call him back...maybe a bit further now and then. Those were fun days, but even still it didn't sate the young Zora's growing wanderlust and thirst for exploration.
This nigh unquenchable thirst would lead to Len sneaking off from his parent's watchful gaze as they spoke to a friend. With their backs turned, the young Zora slipped off deeper into Lake Hylia. Much further than he had ever been allowed to go. Small as that may have seemed it was a great adventure for him, one that he'd not soon forget...for many reasons. Exploration without heed for your surroundings can be dangerous, and so when a group of Bari came upon the bright-eyed and distracted Zora he had no time to react. One moment had gasped as the jellyfish sat upon him and in the next he screamed in agony. Everything between for the boy was a hazy black blur.
His parents hearing his pained cry in the distance at last had noticed he had snuck away. Rushing into action they sped around the lake in a panic. Thankfully they had managed to find Len, but not before the jellyfish caused seemingly irreparable harm. The young Zora's breathing was shallow and his consciousness was failing. There'd be no time to get the boy back to the Domain in time and the Lake was practically empty. With no other options, the frightened parents scooped up their son and swam as swiftly as they could to the shrine of the light spirit, Lanayru.
Here the couple beseeched the spirit, pleading for them to save their son. The spring was silent for what felt like an agonizing eternity before suddenly floating up from the depths, came a small fruit no bigger than a robin's egg. The fruit landed gently at the feet of Len's father who wasted no time helping the ailing and unconscious boy to swallow it. When the fruit slid down the the boy's stomach, his wounds and burns became awash with light, knitting and healing before his breathing finally steadied. Though still unconscious, Len would make a full recovery. Profusely thanking Lanayru, Len's parents wasted no time in getting the slumbering boy home.
Back at the Domain, Len slept peacefully as his parents watched over him. They had dearly hoped that this brush with death would bring the boy's enthusiasm to a more reasonable degree. However this was not the case, if anything it made Len want to explore even more! Even drifting in and out of consciousness, Len knew he had been given a second chance. One from a very, very high place. One that he wasn't about to squander. It seemed however that the spirit had foresaw the boy's nigh uncurbable enthusiasm. Or perhaps it was just the nature of the blessing bestowed upon him. Whatever the case may be, Len was stronger than before! Strong enough to lift stones on land that even some of the strongest Zora struggled with underwater.
His parents were both baffled and somewhat concerned by this development, but as time went by it was clear that even if the incident didn't make the boy less prone to wandering off, it did temper him with wisdom to watch his surroundings and to defend himself. It was this that convinced Len's father to make a gift for him upon his next birthday. It took several nights of work between his father and the other craftszora, but by the time Len's birthday came around, the boy was presented with a mighty hammer! Across the haft and head of the impressive hammer were traditional Zora designs as well as depictions of the light spirit Lanayru. By all rights, a normal child Len's size would not have been able to lift it up with help, let alone one handed like he did. But Len was far from normal at this point.
As the years went by the became more and more clear. As his friends and neighbors grew up, Len seemed to stay much the same. By the time he was sixteen he was still the same as he was when he was ten. A side effect of the blessing perhaps? Maybe just a part of it? No one was really sure, but it didn't bother Len in the least. It happened for a reason, everything seemed to! And the only one who might know would be Lanayru himself, but for now it seemed that the light serpent was content to leave it a mystery to the boy, no matter how many visits he made to the shrine. Perhaps the spirit had something in mind for him, perhaps it was just a case of whimsy. Whatever the case may be, Len refused to dwell on it. Instead now that he was of age to travel on his own, that's exactly what he decided to do!
With hammer and lute and pack in tow, Len now happily wanders around Hyrule, enjoying the sights and sounds of the Kingdom with the same bright eyed and bushy...finned? Enthusiasm he's always had.

Lanayru's Hammer: A large, incredibly heavy, and ornate maul crafted by Len's father and a group of craftszora for his eleventh birthday. The hefty hammer is decorated in a plethora of traditional Zora designs and depictions of the Spirit of Light, Lanayru. While currently the hammer has no magical properties, thanks to Len's own blessed strength, he had no trouble swinging it around like it was a short sword. He hopes to someday find a sorcerer willing to enchant it with something cool if they can!

+Blessing of Lanayru: A small fruit of light swallowed by Len after a near death attack from a group of Bari left the young Zora with great strength, a good deal beyond that of the average adult Zora, allowing him to lift hefty objects and even wrestle with Gorons. A possible downside or possible boon from this is that he hasn't seemed to age at all since ingesting it. If this is simply physical or if he's stopped aging all together is uncertain.
+ Water Mastery: The Zora's incredible flexibility makes them so adept underwater that there's nothing short of another water based creature that can match them. Any member of another race fighting a Zora in the water is just not going to win, not without luck.
+ Bladed Fins: All Zora have rather sharp fins. When need be, they can extend them and use them as bladed weapons.
+ Electrical Barriers: One of a Zora's biological functions is to erect a barrier made of electricity. While it can give a painful shock, it can't actually stop any physical attacks. It can however, disintegrate minor magical projectiles.
- Weak to Ice: Zora are warm water fish, and as a result, take extra damage from Ice based attacks.
