Hey you, yea you.
well shit yea -exit crystal from this bs- You can find her cleaning rubble. | "Oh this is gonna be fucking glorious." Crystal gave up with these guys. Both of them were at each other's throats and there were people who needed help. Getting between this would just draw attention away from those who need it. With a frustrated growl, she turned around and grabbed her wheelbarrow and began moving off to continue cleaning up the rubble.
Things needed to be done, simple and easy. She didn't see or hear anyone yet, but she stayed ever vigilant as she continued moving rubble, muttering profanities to herself.

Fire belly weaselThe shield bash itself ought to have rattled the brain, driven wits and concentration necessary for magic awry, or so Nuada had wagered. Right now, he didn't even waste his time with waiting for the brat to talk and goad him into attacking, because as soon as he rammed into Fress, the Hylian Knight's running momentum halted as he was within immediate melee range, without flourish nor ample amounts of telegraphing, swung his blade straight towards the Twili's neck. Because it wasn't telegraphed, it came fast, a blur in speeds as it would threaten to part Fress's head from his shoulders, and sever him from the neck in two. It was often mistaken that a fighter would need to make for large swings to fight, but that wasn't true, it was merely a product of imagination to those that often read books, when this was not the case here. Combat was bloody and gritty, and Nuada had felt it was also a thing of beauty.
Nuada said little, but allowed himself a small smile despite the irritation that came from this entire ordeal, but all the same, none could say he hadn't done his duty, or really, not done much in the face of disturbance.
"Vae victis." He huffed under his breath that idiom-equivalent with a manic grin as his eyes widened and his attention became sharp, feeling his blood hot and his heart beating hard with excitement.

[attr="class","ohlove"] both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Yeah he was going to have to step in. The moment the fight actually started, Alex unsheathed his sword and began to move his staff. He let out an audible groan at having to do this. He fiddled with his his fancy new Dominion Rod, noticing that it began to hum with power, and its fancy magic began to work. He felt the hold on his sword and let go, watching as it floated in the air for a moment before it flew towards the two. Fress was shieldbashed and Alex's his Warden's blade continued to close the distance before clashing with Nuada's blade, deadlocking it from a distance and keeping it from slicing off Fress's head. This was fucking ridiculous. "Vae fuck off." He remarked.
Holding the sword, he looked at Fress. "You're not making a very splendid figure, are you?" He growled. Yeah, he had his own thoughts on this. "Did you ever think to actually fucking ask someone you cock gobbling manchild?" Really, who the fuck acted like this and threw such a fucking tantrum? Unbelievable. "Midna's alive, now fuck off before I regret saving your ass. I'll send Midna to deal with your dumb ass later. You dumb horse-fucking idiot." Yeah he was pissed. He'd just gotten into a squabble with a knight he didn't want to fight that was going to cause trouble down the road. He'd parry the knight at least until Fress got out of there. Fress didn't even bother asking the one guy who could have explained his princess's survival in the matter anything and just left. If he had clearly heard everything, he should have just said something before things got so bad. In the meantime, it was back to finding Midna. Not that he wanted to at this point, but a confrontation over this was inevitable.

Real choice consequencesSo here he was, Nuada, was doing his job, keeping the peace, making sure some little shit wasn't causing trouble through the time and tested method of violence. Little shit decided to whine about killing him, which he was going to oblige anyways since the little shit was clearly a danger to society, but THEN, somehow, someway, little shit somehow had a buddy. A guy who intoned something so very edgy and spunky, it made Nuada blanche and almost vomit in the cringe. He didn't comment on that as his attack was parried. Instead, he was more baffled more than anything that this guy, who seemed to have made an opportune entry, making it now of all times.
Something about all of this in Nuada's instincts told him that this guy was actually around from before, maybe. Conjecture overall, but RATHER than interrupting the albino little shit when he had put people in danger, he chose to interrupt at a time when Nuada was dispensing the law, when the damage and hostility was almost done.
Chocolate girl survived because well... the attack seemed pathetic. Nuada also survived because though the attack seemed pathetic, Fress had actually AIMED for the Hylian Knight just keeping the peace, and he had dodged the obviously orchestrated throw.
Still, one thing was for certain. He hated this blonde little shit for attacking him, and considered him a nuisance, but even HE had seen just how unbecoming Fress was, and for that instant, his mind had changed from attacking the defender to something else entirely.
He noted a few things, namely he had thought that the shadow magic user was mentioning Zelda when he remarked on Princess, and dismissed him as a maniac for it since she was most indubitably alive, but when the name Midna had come up, Nuada was confused. He hadn't heard of no Princess Midna for that matter. That confusion only lasted a brief moment.
With some strength, he would aim to throw the deadlock off by pushing Alex back with his strength, to no doubt gain a few feet, before glaring at Fress's direction.
"Alright, this little shit may have jumped me, and I have half a mind to beat his ass for that stunt, but you... YOU are a whole different story." Nuada said with utter disbelief to Fress before he left. "This moron came to save your ass, and what do you do? Not EVEN utter a word of thanks for him risking his life by facing me! No, not even aiming to assist him. Just what kind of a despicable person are you to-- oh, you're leaving. Wow. Mediocre." Nuada rolled his eyes at that. And this is why he despised plebeian scum, even if he's facing what he presumed a plebeian scum who is a kill-interrupting douche.

IF MEMORIES ARE SHADOWS
we'd best not waste the light
There was a time and place for everything. Crying in the middle of city ruins while others were working on rebuilding it was not one a perfect example. Charity bore witness to a scene that could’ve been easily avoided if the strange shadow thing had used his head. He was crying in the middle of a relief effort. There was work to be done for other people beside himself. It was depressing to see but given the situation they were in.... How could he not expect people to act the way they did? The Castle Town was in ruins. The city needed help more than one person moaning about being a failure. It was tragically the example of selfish behavior. What transpired afterwards was pretty harsh, but the shadow thing did start it.
Then he attacked the Gerudo and then a Hylian Knight? What was this shadow thing thinking? Charity wished it would all just end already. This was the worst. After several people yelling and a minute of realizing this was bad vibes all around, the strange shadow thing decided to finally leave. It left a bad taste in Charity’s mouth such an instance had occurred, but she didn’t have any power to stop it from happening. So with the problem out of the way, she extended her pink, translucent wings out and floated out to grab everyone’s attention.
"Everybody! Let's get back to work," she cried out, "Please, we have much to do and it's not going to get done right away. Send the injured my way, I'll heal them as best as I can!"

[attr="class","ohlove"] [attr="class","lacking"] [attr="class","eyes"]✎ tag: Nuada Papke✉ notes: i'm outie [EXIT] both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Well at least the kid was alive. Midna would hopefully give him hell at some point, but if she didn't, well that was on her, he guessed. He didn't like having to step in against a Hylian Knight. Just inflamed the Warden & Knight rivalry even further, not that he minded that. It was a well deserved rivalry. His blow had been parried and forced back, the sword flying away before returning to Alexander's hand, the power of the Dominion Rod ceasing as he held it back in his hand on the rooftop, away from Nuada. "If you think I feel threatened by you, you pointy-eared princess, you are sadly mistaken." The rivalry was real. There were good ones like Seyka, but a lot of them were like Nuada.
And with that, he left as the Knight was ranting and raving about something involving what had just happened. Alex didn't care. He just turned around and walked away from the group. He had business in Kakariko to attend to and really, he'd only just been passing through. By the time Charity could even arrive and rally the group, the human had already walked out of earshot. Busy busy busy, but at least it would be a nice surprise to see that Castle Town would make some progress by the time he got back from Kakariko. So what the hell just happened?Biri was just about to explain the complex formula that went into creating a special, one-of-a-kind Dominion Rod to the Deku who was so kind to ask! And then there was crazy things happening in the background that got everyone's attention. Some person made of shadow started attacking people?! It even got a Hylian Knight involved! Alas quickly as it started it appears to be ending. Birinne questioned if they should be concerned or not. That shadow person seemed very unstable. "My fairy friend is right. Let's keep working. Nothing left to see here anymore. Tally-ho!"Now she ought to go back to the Deku who asked her a question. It would've been rude to leave him with no proper answer now, wouldn't it? "My apologies sir. Allow me to answer your question now." She flashed her Dominion Rod on display. "It is but a pale reflection of the original model, but by combination of science and magic, this rod is indeed magical by definition. I can use it to pick up small objects without any trouble."Biri was eager to show an example right away! So she twirled her rod and began picking up rubble once again. She aimed it over to the pile of debris Crystal was working on to help put more into the wheel barrel.

Hey you, yea you.
oh hey. Have an NPC to heal, charity. | Well that was a show she hoped she'd never have to witness again. But whatever, it was over and the brat was gone. Things could finally go back to normal. Was her anger called for? Some would say no, but Crystal says yes. People don't listen unless you're insulting. At least in her experience. Shrugging, she continued moving rubble until some started floating. With a startled jump, crystal went wide eyed and watched as the rubble moved, mouth hanging open slightly.
"Uh hey, person with the stick... thanks?" She guessed that's how they were doing it? She wasn't really paying attention, but she was smart enough to tie oen and two together in a world full of magic. Without further questioning of the help, she continued digging out rubble until oh hey, well, that's morbid. When she leaned in to pinch the back of the hand, a finger twitched. Good nuff for her. "There's a person over here!" She called out, moving carefully around the rubble to rethink the way she cleared it off of the person.
Careful not to put any weight onto where the person may be, she continued chucking rubble to somewhere she wouldn't hit anyone. |

Rival-what?The fact he had thrown off his sword in one shove had meant Nuada had in all instances, all but dismissed the blonde's presence with a gesture as if telling a servant to leave. Mentions of being a princess swept over his thick hide like water, and he didn't bother to look at Alex's direction as the wretch left unbidden, just like Fress. The former, he hadn't had a chance to kill nor dismiss, the latter, he had shown a wave of his hand as if to tell him to leave at his orders. It was not an unknown gesture, he had done the same to many peasants, annoyed at having been blocked, but having thrown off the sword had all but made him contemptuous of the foolhardy charge in itself.
"Ah, the mongrel, you're still here? You may stop blathering, you're dismissed." Would be the last parting words Nuada gave Alex as he considered what had occurred. Even if Alex hadn't seen what gesture Nuada had made, the man spoke loud enough for the boy to hear as he had left. Still, there were a few highlights he had contemplated, his mindset occupied by that single name -- Midna. The others such as magic were an afterthought he contemplated in an instant.
The magic though displayed by the whelp? That was something he had noted personally as interesting, much like the shadow magic displayed by the albino wretch. Still, ultimately he sighed at having been robbed of an opportunity to kill a lawbreaker, and shook his head with derision.
But all the same, peace had been achieved, even if it had meant he didn't get to break some bones, and teach a few lawbreakers what it had meant to break the law, or disturb the peace. He sheathed his sword, frowned, and shook his head. Doing his job as a noble and Hylian Knight just never ends, beating up peasants and so on. His relief effort was really just to make sure it went unimpeded. But all the same, he had found himself intrigued by the way the chocolate-woman had faced down the vanilla boy.
He shook those thoughts as he had noticed his boredom had long been broken, before making his way to stand at attention towards a most curious sight. The wings that broke and came out in bright illumination dazzled him briefly, but he tore his gaze away and took his vigil once more in patrolling the area for any signs of trouble. He had walked passed the Gerudo girl whom he had come to know as 'chocolate-woman', and merely nodding towards her, before doing his rounds and patrolling the area. Unnecessary by a complete amount given how guards do this job, but he doubted their competence and would rather safeguard the area over them. He did not have to partake in physical labour, merely protect the area with violence.

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
In what felt like an instance, the air of comradery was replaced by contempt for one another; a particular Twili proving to be the target of everyone’s aggression. It was notedly deserved though, from what he’d observed the vermin had half-heartedly struck at the caramel-skinned worker and more importantly one of the Hylian Knight. His lower eyelid twitched with annoyance as the situation escalated further and further until the Knight had actually drawn his sword and attempted to behead the emotional distressed Twili. Before Dieter could even attempt to haft his spear, the blow was about to connected. However, an old face from the past came to the rescue. Alexander’s sword soared through the air, gracefully parrying the blade. His eyes widened in surprise when he’d registered that no one was brandishing the blade. No, it appeared that the man had a rod similar to Biri, its’ list of apparent uses grew expediently; such an item would prove invaluable to its’ wielder.
Crystal had returned from emptying yet another wheel barrel full of rubble, not to mention she’d just seemed to want to get away from the constant bickering. He’d nodded his head as Biri spoke, intrigued by the fact that someone had managed to fuse both magic and technology into one catalyst. Sometimes, it almost felt as if magic had the natural tendencies to reject technology, some even theorized that the two weren’t meant to synergize. This alone proved that such a theory was false, some scholar would find this fascinating. But before he could reply, Crystal’s cry caught his attention and he made his way in her direction. If the Gerudo turned in his direction, she’d notice that his azure eyes were drifting shut as his lips moved with fervish speed.
“…….. Dryad’s Domain.”
Most of his incantation was spoken so lowly that it wasn’t even audible to himself. His head throbbed as he’d sent out countless seismic waves that bounced off the rubble and painted a picture within his mind. He could see beneath the surface and could see the person trapped within. However, it wasn’t just one person, no that hand belonged to a woman who had a child clutched tight to her chest with her other arm. He could sense that they were both breathing, albeit the child was noticeably taking slower breathes; they were likely starring to run out of air. He fell to his knees and grabbed at a large chunk of rock and threw it aside.
“It’s a woman and her child…. I think they are running out of air…. Don’t touch these areas.”
He’d pointed at a few different pieces of rubble, each one had a distinct characteristic, one of them was a piece of pipe, another was what looked like a half-buried table, lastly there was a piece of what looked like the chimney. If they tried to move any of those he’d mentioned, it would without fail end up collapsing down further which in turn would crush the child and mother.

It looked like their work was back on track. The pink fairy fluttered over to Crystal as the news of people discovered within the rubble was announced. Knots tightened in her stomach listening to Dieter figure out it was a mother and her child. Whatever he did to learn of the woman and child in the debris was amazing but that meant extra care was needed to getting them out.
"I don't have the strength to pull rubble out." She confessed biting down onto her lip. Charity instantly looked back over to Birinne. One puny fairy trying to pull rocks out? Yeah, she was going to get buried in it before she could save people. She didn’t have physical prowess like the Gerudo woman or the magical capabilities like the Oocca.
"Miss Oocca! Please, can you use your magic stick to help remove the rubble? As soon as they're out in fresh air, I'll heal them!" Charity clutched her hands together praying for godspeed to everyone working together.

Birinne gasped when they discovered a mother and child buried underneath the rubble. Whatever pretty plant man did, he found out pretty quickly. The Gerudo started hauling debris away. "Right. Of course! Leave it to me!" she squawked. "I'll lend my aid."With a flick of her wrist, she followed the instructions guided by the wise Deku. Rocks began to float up into the air assisting with the process of alleviating pressure onto the buried victims. How did they manage to survive this long under there? It was by the mercy of the goddesses they were found in time! "Don't move them right away! Check for injuries first before they're extracted from the rubble less they get hurt further."

Hey you, yea you.
Not playin the hero. Just here to help c: | Crystal didn't bother touching them, she knew better, so she just continued moving rubble where she could and continue exposing them as much as she could without raising the odds of hurting them beneath. She wasn't a healer, so she simply stepped down and braced herself against, a step lower than Dieter so she could help the others up or down as they see fit.
Without much of a word, she looked down at Biri and shrugged at her, a silent motion that she didn't know this medicine stuff. She was here as a mover. Yes, she knew when someone was hurt, but she couldn't name bones or parts other than the basics such as fingers, eyes, nose or toes. She was legitimately worried about the two in the rubble, yes, but her input would only assist to possibly obstruct the communication of the healers.
It'd be an inconvenience, and today was enough proof that she despised inconveniences wholly.
