Ain't safe in these woods
| With a sharp nod and a quick turn on his heel, Grar began to walk away from the small camp he had set up at. His hat, shirt and cloak were tucked into his bag and a fire pit was at the ready, if he was lucky enough to capture anything that was. He had the strength, he sometimes had the cunning, but he severely lacked the speed and agility part of hunting. Taking a deep breath, he just shook it off and continued walking.
It'd be easier to chase and ambush prey in his more 'human' like form anyways, he was smart enough to figure that out. He did have the street smarts, luckily. He began sniffing the air but didn't get too far from camp before he picked up the distinct scent of a deer. Doe by the smell of it. Climbing into a tree, he decided to sit there and wait to see what would happen if he just chose to bide his time. Eventually, she did pass by, and he prepared to pounce, only to scare her off.
He had already jumped though. Grar came crashing to the ground with a glorious thud and stood up, ready to try and chase her down, but giving a defeated sigh when he saw she was a momma. ... He just couldn't. He wasn't no poacher. Groaning and dusting his self off, Grar made his way back to 'camp' and sat down against a tree, hair and ears a little mussed with dirt. With a groan, he fell onto his side and stared up at the orange stricken sky, the sunset nearing it's end.
He could easily continue hunting in the dark. But the noise he made in the silence of nightfall made hunting among the bush way too difficult. Dammit

The orange sky above was soothing for Midna to see. Hidden beneath the canopy of the leaves, the imp sat nestled in some branches and peered through the spaces the leaves made to watch the sky above. The reds, oranges, and yellows were not as vibrant as her home but they were beautiful in their own right. What was going on there at the moment? There was no doubt chaos with her departure... She was all to blame, but she had to finish her business in the Light Realm before she could think of going back.
As her mind raced with all sorts of thoughts, she failed to see the Minish man fail to catch his dinner. She did, however, get snapped out of her little daydream as she heard the snapping of branches nearby. Melding into the shadows (which was easy at this time of day), she made her way to take a peek at this "hunter." His ears intrigued her and she had yet to see someone quite like this in Hyrule.
Midna waited behind some bushes and watched as he retreated to his camp. Suddenly, she appeared behind the dancing flames of his fire. "Eehehhe~" she cackled teasingly, "It's getting quite dark. Whatever will you do for your dinner?"

Ain't safe in these woods
#SeeGrarFail2k17 #DumberThanASackOfBricks | Grar's stupidly sensitive nose picked up a strange scent the moment a strange creature popped up behind his fire and spoke. Ears stood upright, his tail curled upwards and the fur down his back pricking up on its ends as this random... creature... seemed to pop up out of the wood works. Giving out an knee-jerk warning growl, Grar, stopped and shut his mouth so fast, he actually cut off the last bit of his growl.
Curiosity picked at Grar's mind as he sniffed the air in the direction of the thing that spoke to him b- oh right it spoke. Uh. Shit. What did it say? "I don' think I caught what ya said. What?" He asked back, manners over-riding his fight or flight just a little bit. He didn't know how hostile this thing was, but if it really was, wouldn't it have attacked him when he was laying down. It ... she? She, he thought, could obviously get the jump on him with how he didn't detect a trace of her until it was too late.
