She felt her very body coming into being, a sensation of physicality she had almost forgotten. Feet landed on the ground, and eyelids that had not opened in a long time slowly pushed themselves wide.
It was dark. Her eyes were still adjusting to the darkness around her. Small clinks of metal echoed as she flexed her fingers in her gauntlets, and took her first steps in a century. A small splash of water came from underfoot; looking down she saw a small puddle she had stepped into. The only source of light was from a small circle far above her head, but that light was dim and faded in and out at times. In the small flashes of light offered to her, she could see the blood splatters on her gauntlets, and looking at her breastplate and faulds she could see the cracks and blood from that battle still remaining. She knew it had been much longer, but seeing all this, it felt like that fateful day was only yesterday. The blood stained portions of her blue dress purple, brown in some spots, and there were numerous tears in the fabric.
She extended my right arm out to the side and in hand appeared her sword - the Lord's Blade. Still coated with a bit of blood on portions of the blade, but as sharp as it ever was. The blade itself shone with a brilliant light, making it much easier to see where she was. Mud, water, a stone shaft leading upwards for quite some distance; it took the environment for her to remember. This was the well, that damned well in Kakariko Village. The seal must have had an impact on my memory...or I'm still groggy. She shook her head for a moment to try and ward off the post-awakening confusion, before continuing to inspect herself for anything unusual.
In the newly gained light source, as she examined her figure, she saw something that she hadn't expected to see: The emblem of the Hylian Knights. Ah, that's right...it did happen rather quickly didn't it? she mused to herself for a moment as she reached her left hand to rest over that symbol for a moment. It was nostalgic, something familiar. A remnant of an era long gone now. At least, she guessed it was. A lot could happen in a hundred years. Her companions many years ago flashed in her thoughts, her enemies, her victories, her losses....so much of her life was contained within that patch.
And with renewed vigor, she found herself ripping that patch off the sleeve of her dress. She crushed that infernal sigil in between her fingers. Thought she wasn't fully recognizing it happening as she did so, a red aura began to manifest around her figure. And then, crumbled and worthless, she slammed the Hylian Knight emblem into the muddy puddle. It was a stain upon her honor. It was a stain upon her pride. It was a stain upon everything she stood for. She would never look upon that patch again, as her grip tightened on her sword and her golden eyed gaze drifted up to the light of the now-visible morning sky. A small dagger faded into existence in her left hand. She couldn't waste time here. It would not take him long to realize his mistake and try to correct it. Her figure faded from sight deep in the bottom of that empty well, leaving only a single statement to linger in the air.
"Time to head to Hyrule Castle and pick up where I left off."
