The ocean's waves lapped against the hull of the ship, gently rocking it with each gentle caress of the tide. Every splash sent a spray of water into the air, and it left the taste of salt and the open sea in Yugo's mouth, the half-blood licking idly licking his lips as he reclined against a railing on the upper-most deck. It wasn't very often that he ventured this far out, and it was probably the first time he had ever been on a ship at all - while it might have been a change-up from his usual routine of wandering out into the fringes of the central fields and finding some bounty to bring in for a profit, it was a welcome change. Sure, he enjoyed the rush of a good fight, and the pay it often brought with it - but any time he could get to take it easy, relax, and simply enjoy his surroundings, was always something that he treasured. That was a thing no amount of rupees could buy. Which was probably a good thing, considering he had 'misplaced' most of his funds in an ill-thought-out game of cards with some of the other passengers of the ship. While he wasn't completely broke, he definitely wasn't going to be living the rich and fanciful life any time soon, either. "Not exactly willing to try my hand at another game of chance. And it's not like there are many opportunities to make money in the middle of the ocean," he groaned aloud, one deep indigo eye lazily cracking open to gaze out across the deck and at the vast expanse of water beyond. He had sat himself off to one side against a guard-rail and dozed off for a while, figuring that it would do well to get some fresh, salty air before going back belowdecks. ... Plus, there was always the chance that if some creature happened to attacked the ship, he'd be in a prime location to jump right to the fighting. A hand unconsciously slipped down to rest at the hilt of the sword at his right hip - monster attacks like that happened all the time, right? If anything, it'd be something to break up this monotony, even if it was rather serene.

Ashe wasn't sure why she was picked to go on this excursion. Maybe it was her punishment for bothering Jace while he was working. Had he requested for her to come along... as revenge? Ashe truly thought that as she barged through the door from below deck, coming up to the surface and running over to the railing to dispel an entire morning's contents. The sea did not treat her nicely.
Groaning, Ashe slumped over the rail a little, letting her body fall a bit limp against it. She had yet to see that there was someone dozing nearby, and hopefully they hadn't heard her being sick... What a great first impression that'd be.

Yugo cracked an eye open and let it drift to where he heard somebody enter the deck. Oh? Somebody else must have gotten sick of being cooped up inside- Wow. Oh, damn, somebody was literally getting sick of it here, and here he was groaning about being bored. His lips curled in a sympathetic smile as he pushed himself off the railing, stretching his arms behind his head as he cautiously made his way over to the poor girl. "'Ey there. Comin' up here to get some fresh air too?" He spoke before he got too close, hoping he didn't startle her. It was clear why she had come up here - something had set her off, whether it was she didn't have a good time on the water or she had a serving of whatever that weird tentacle-y soup dish was belowdeck. The way she looked - when she wasn't so sickly-seeming and doubled over a railing, anyway - she seemed the proud type, so he played the oblivious card in an effort to save her some embarrassment. "Or maybe enjoy the view? Can't say there's much worth seein' up here..." Well, until you came up here, anyway-He shook his head, coming up beside her and leaning up against the railing. He kept his gaze out towards the horizon for a moment, until he was sure she was through rejecting her breakfast. Then he turned his head to look at her, flashing a cheery smile beneath his pair of earnest indigo eyes. "Maybe you'd like some company?"

Ahhh... Just great. There was another person on the deck, and she most definitely thought they heard her. But they made no mention of it... and seemed to carry on a conversation as if it didn't just happen. And so Ashenne had the opportunity to just play it off. She started off a bit rocky at first, stumbling out a "Ahh, sure. Yeah, fresh air." She lifted herself from the railing a bit and kept herself up with her forearm. "The sea breeze is nice."
When he made a mention about the view not being worth much, she seemed a bit surprised. "How could you think the sea is not worth the view?" Her gaze went back to the open water, which was so blue and so clear. "It seems endless. I have never seen anything like it."
The fact that she kept his conversation going was hint enough that she'd enjoy some company. Some small talk and a cute face would keep her mind off of her churning stomach.
