[googlefont=Open+Sans] 守りたいものを守れるのなら [attr="class","firstfriend"] すべてを受け入れて 未来(あした)を探す For what felt like the millionth time, his aquamarines narrowed as he attempted to decipher the note given to him by the Palace’s Apothecary. The notes’ content was a hastily scrawled and scarcely legible list of medicinal herbs of medicinal herbs indigenous to the Faron Woods. Fortunately, the Apothecary’s hieroglyphics were accompanied by an adjacent crudely drawn depiction and concise harvesting directions; the latter was in his apprentice’s penmanship and was definitively more legible. Alas, Dieter’s presence was borderline phantasmal, sparsely noticed by the natural inhabitants of the Woods. His movements were relaxed, yet oddly silent; a feat attributed to his races’ lightweight bodies. His coral-hued lips pursed together, a slow, melodic hum slipping between them. The song itself was well known throughout Hyrule, it was a lullaby song by Mother to child. He knelt at the base of one of the nearby trees pausing briefly to inspect a potentially harvestable herb. His hands dipped down into his satchel to retrieve a small harvesting knife, which he used to daftly cut the herb placing the harvested portions in his lap. The whole ordeal took a little over a minute, but during that time he’d heard a crackling branch off in the distance. His soft melodic humming ceased only for him to speak.
“Is someone there?”
Dieter inwardly praying that it wasn’t a bandit of some sort. His nostrils billowing as he let out a slow exhale and casually reached towards one of his concealed daggers that were strapped to his thighs.

The land of Hyrule is such a big, big place. Imagine being a child, heading into the wild all alone for the first time. Remi was facing that sort of situation at the moment. It was a good thing she had been "camping" before because it sort of felt like that right now, only she wasn't with her friends. Taneth was off floating around the campsite, but Remi had scuttled away to try and find some berries to eat. She was at home in the forest, but this forest was still very new to her. She was lucky she hadn't run into any monsters or... anyone else, actually. Yet... She did pick up the faint sound of a hum, a song that she had never heard before. She stopped dead in her tracks, only after she had crunched a twig.
Then the humming stopped. She was close enough to hear a voice. For a moment, her body went frigid in a panic but when she regained some wits, she ducked down into the brush and shrubbery. Hopefully they wouldn't go looking for her. She hadn't yet seen whoever or whatever it was, but she definitely did not want trouble. MADE BY ★MEULK

[googlefont=Open+Sans] 守りたいものを守れるのなら [attr="class","firstfriend"] すべてを受け入れて 未来(あした)を探す Dieter’s inquiry was met with stoic silence, whomever lurked within the nearby brush and shrubby evidently had no desire to reveal themselves. What a shame , the Deku mused to himself as his lips silently mouthed out verses imbedded deep within the recesses of his mind. His cerulean eyes drifting silently shut as he’d finished his muted incantation, an undetectable series of vibrations began to emanate from the unmoving Deku. Strangely enough, despite his eyes being closed, he was able to the view the world with shocking clarity; an effect of his personal spellcraft, Dryad’s Domain . The undetectable vibrations rapidly increased in number and intensify, effectually expanding their influence and further revealing the Forests’ secrets. These included the slumbering snake nestled within the gnarled roots of a tree to his left, the den of rabbits to his right, and more importantly the petite woman whom remained crouched within the brush and shrubbery.
“ You don’t have to hide in the brush, I mean you no harm.”
Dieter stated, his voice soft and childlike in nature. From what he’d detected initially, he wasn’t certain if Remi was armed, but she didn’t appear to harbor any ill-intent. She hadn’t attempted to brandish any weapon on her person, no she’d elected to hide herself; she was probably equally wary of him. Dieter made no effort to move closer to the woman but instead he moved a few feet to his right and knelt at the base of another tree. His hands’ skillfully brandishing his harvesting knife as he began to uproot a trio of spotted mushrooms. If he’d recalled these were normally steeped in boiling water until they were even more tender, then they were ground up with a select assortment of herbs to make a poultice that was good for treating sprains and bruises. He’d personally used said poultice more than a handful of times, his training regimen not only as a Palace Guard but as a Palace Dancer was quite rigorous; accidents happened no matter how careful one tried to be.
“ You are more than welcome to keep me company. I’ll be harvesting herbs for quite some time.”
Dieter voiced allowed, attempting to coherence the petite girl to join him. He deftly spun the harvesting knife in between his fingers before he set to the task of harvesting some sort of moss that grew on the northern side of the tree. His coral-hued lips pursing together as he resumed humming some sort of lullaby. If she came close enough, she’d likely notice that he’d yet to open his eyes; doing so would dispel the influence of his Dryads’ Domain . He’d yet to perfect it, if he opened his eyes, it not only ceased its’ influence but the backlash of the extra stimulation often heavily disoriented him. Truthfully, he wasn’t in the mood to be nauseated, dizzy or have double-vision. Now, he just merely waited, only time would tell if Remi would decide to join him or retreat back into the woods from which she’d emerged. ✉ | Sorry it's short, first post in a bit. |
