SO SAY THE WORD AND I'LL BE RUNNING BACK TO FIND YOU
It had been awhile since she had last frequented Castle Town. Cassie felt so different within the place that had once been her home for fifteen years. Now it seemed like a strange place that held little meaning to her without her family there. She constantly worried about how they were, because she had not received any new messages in weeks. How were her parents? Her brothers? Certainly the assassins had to have given up hunting down her family by now. Either way, she did not broadcast herself when she entered the familiar hustle and bustle of Castle Town. House Amell had disappeared under mysterious circumstances years ago, and she knew she would prefer to keep that anonymity. Besides, she was here to seek out an acquaintance after she had learned that a certain bar had been destroyed only a few days prior.
Destruction seemed to follow her like a shadow these days. First Ordon and now Telma's bar? What in the name of the goddesses was going on? Cassie hated the sensation of feeling lost and unattached to anything or anyone. Lucia was still missing as well, which caused her heart to ache beyond measure. The young woman refused to believe her bodyguard was dead. After all, if Cassie had survived the attack on Ordon, then her friend had to have as well. She kept the hood of her cloak up to shadow her fair features as she got closer to the ruins of the bar. A frown marred her lips as she surveyed the wreckage from a slight distance away. It seemed little to nothing had been spared in this attack.
Her eyes glowed briefly as her vision zeroed in fast the debris to fall upon the familiar figure of Castle Town's most well-known bartender. Cassie sighed in relief as she saw Telma picking through the wreckage of her bar. It was a sorry sight to witness, but she was happy to know at least one familiar face known to her was safe. She pulled back the hood of her cloak without hesitation as she walked towards the older woman. "Telma, I am quite relieved to see you safe!" she called out in greeting. Perhaps it was silly of her, but she had come to view the older woman as a motherly presence the few times they had met. Cassie could not deny she had been missing out on her own mother's care since she had been fifteen. It was little surprise that she ran towards Telma and hugged her without her usual caution or tact. It was just so very nice to see someone she cared about alive and well.
