both were silent.
there were ways for kicking and screaming.
She took it better than he expected. He had expected her to rail against the both of them, to separate and demand that he never see her again for what he had unwittingly caused for the man in front of them. Still, she was bothered about Midna, that much was obvious. Told her to go back home. Really, that wasn't too fair to her. There was no way that Midna could have seen all of this coming, but he could understand the sentiment at least. He ran a hand through his hair. "I don't know if she even can go back. It hit her home first." He spoke in a softer tone. Considering everything it had done here, he had a feeling that the Twilight Princess probably didn't have a home to go back to.
Kneeling down, he took her father's battered corpse and gently slung it across his shoulders as best he could. A fireman's carry, nothing complicated, helped distribute the weight too, considering the man was wearing armor, even if it was all torn up from the dragon's fangs. Apparently she had to get going soon. That was fine, he could understand if she didn't want to be around for all of this. Watching her father be buried may be a bit much for her, she might be back in time, but who knew. "I'll take care of your dad and check things out. Probably patch up a couple patients. I need to be heading to Kakariko real quick." But he also had his own problems to be taking care of as well.
Yes, Zelda was still on death's door. He'd let her get things ready as he began to leave with the body. He'd known this man since he was a boy. Here he was carrying his corpse. Alex kept a straight face as best he could, but even he'd admit it was pulling at him more than he thought it would. Had to keep going though, had to keep pushing. There were people who needed help. Zelda needed aid. There was still so much for him to do, he wouldn't be able to rest for a good while.
