"Personal relations, now is it?" Queen laughed, taking the opportunity to move a bit faster. Behind the mask she scanned the crowd to look for all of the other interesting things and wasn't disappointed when she caught sight of the commotion going on. It focused around a growing group, with Mombi seeming to be the center of it all.
She guided Tiger closer to eavesdrop better. "I strayed a lot farther than you'd think to come here tonight. Castletown isn't a place I'm able to visit often." In the future, if events like this were common, she'd have to change that.
Queen lowered her voice to a whisper. "Did you hear the rumor that she'll be here? Zelda! Just imagine the scandals that can pop up!"

Last three posts deleted. Mombi and Cap'n Bill, strikes for godmodding. Don't do it again or you're both out.

Betsy blushed when Billina kissed the back of her hand. It felt like it came right out of a fairytale. Betsy hoped that the night would get to last forever. Everyone would have a lot of fun that way.
She moved to the music. Betsy didn't look bad but she didn't take the lead. "Why did you dress like that? Is this to stand out?" The appearance of a Skull Kid seemed weird for a ball at the castle. A dress or tunjc fut better.

He... was quite the dancer wasn't he? Trot flushed beneath her mask as she was suddenly swayed to the center of the ballroom, a gentle hand taking hold of hers while the other rested upon her waist. She wasn't really... used to being this intimate with others, and it was a rather comfortable change of pace.
"Think of it like a little journey together: Every dance is different, even if we get it perfect."
She chuckled bashfully, her eyes behind the mask trying to search for any kind of gaze behind his own - but to no avail. She felt strange being in such a formal event that was so secretive. She wasn't one for dresses and dancing and chit chat. But for once, she had dropped her guard and she was pleasantly surprised.
Before she could say a word to their natural sway, she was dipped down, letting out a lightest gasp under her breath as her eyes were suddenly locked to the chandelier above their heads. The touch of his fingers against her back caused her to shiver and blush even more - his hands were soft against her skin.
As the dance came to an end, Eureka had then ushered the young maiden to the side once more, before their hands departed and they stood in silence for a moment. She cleared her throat nervously, feeling like a complete idiot for not knowing what to say. "I'm sorry, I'm bad at this. I'm not really accustomed to dances or being that close to someone I suppose," she admitted. "But we all must start somewhere, yeah? You're quite the dancer."
Suddenly, he was saying his goodbyes, offering for her to go give the others her attention, and her face went pale. No, please don't leave me with those people, I have enough trouble talking to you! Her hands clenched for a moment as she looked around nervously before slowly following behind him.
"Would you mind if I tagged along beside you for a little bit? The idea of trying to do this all over again with another stranger is a bit intimidating." Yeah, good one. You can fight monsters and oppose injustice, but you can't even talk to a boy.

Thankfully, Billina did not hesitate to find their groove once it became clear leading was on them. It was a bit awkward on account of their short height, but they seemed to have a firm grasp on the essentials anyway. A hand on the hip, another on the back. Billina had to reach up to make it work, but they didn't seem to mind. Hold on now, this was a slow dance! Billina really didn't look the part, but was that really anything new? They certainly acted it when they wanted to, anyway. Billina seemed very mindful about the way they handled Betsy, perhaps a welcome change from the aloof and absent-minded way they'd been behaving earlier. There was nothing worse than a dance partner that mishandled or mistreated you.
"No." Billina softly replied in mild amusement. "It's to let loose." they quickly corrected, all but whispering to avoid being overheard for reasons unclear. Another giggle escaped them as they swung back and forth with the other, playfully encouraging Betsy to take their lead and match their movements. "I like to play pretend sometimes and have a bit of fun." the skull kid impersonator went on to explain in a light-hearted tone, clearly enjoying themselves.
"...Though, if you're only pretending to be charming and personable you're doing a good job of it. I honestly wasn't expecting to have a partner tonight." Billina went on to remark in a good-natured, if not slightly bashful tone.
