[attr="class","resetapptext"]Colin was born to a wise warrior and a clingy mother. Needless to say, his early life was jam packed with many confusing and contradictory life lessons. In struggling to find his own path, Colin tried being a good friend to whomever he could; however, Colin was timid, and strained to be respected by his peers. Colin found himself a target of teasing among the children of Ordon Village. Of course, he was too afraid to stand up for himself, and thus bore the burden of his branding.
Two boys in particular, Malo and Talo, were his most blatant harassers. The two were stopped by nothing, save for a lone rider from downtown. Thankful to the rider, Colin went home using what few crafting skills he had to construct a Fishing Rod for his new friend, Link. However, shortly after Link had used his gift for the first time, Colin found himself and his peers trapped in a building as the village suddenly fell into chaos and destruction.
He was trapped in one of Ordon Village's residence buildings with Malo, Talo, and a young lady named Beth. While chaos tore the village apart, the four hid as best they could; although it was not long that their escape went unnoticed. A strange figure had noticed Beth as she watched the destruction from a window. Suddenly, a great force brought itself down on the roof, threatening to crush Beth under the falling debris. Colin found himself torn. Did he run to safety leaving Beth to be crushed; or do something that Link would, and intervene? After shortly hesitating, Colin was throwing himself at Beth and pushing against her with all of his might clearing her from the falling ceiling before blacking out completely.
Colin awoke suffering the weight of rubble and debris atop him. It was then that Colin learned that true strength isn't in the might of your muscles, but in having the will to fight your fears and do what was right. He knew what he had done was something Link would have done, and that made him very proud. Forcing his eyelids apart, the only thing he could see was Beth, pale -- but breathing. He could rest now, knowing that she was safe -- and thusly passed out from the pain of his bruises.
After what felt like ages, Colin quickly discovered that he was still alive, although buried. He wasn't sure where Malo, Talo or Beth were, but what he did know was that he hadn't a home anymore. Colin saw this as his chance to start life over as the hero he idolised -- so he scrounged what he could from the remains of the village, and began plotting his escape from Ordon.

[attr="class","resetapptext"]Ordon Messer: A lightly built, single edged blade with steel inlaid with the horns of Ordon Goats as a carbonizing agent. Out of respect for the expense of the materials that forged it, this weapon was designed with simplicity, functionality and durability in mind.
