[attr="class","resetapptext"]Even from his young age as a child, Jace has always been interested in the arts of magic, and the secrets that they held, allowing only those determined and curious enough to discover them. While his parents were no one special in society, his obsession with the clever craft allowed him to make something of himself that went beyond what was expected of him. It gave him a chance at another life, a life of more comfort, so he devoured his books, took to his lessons, and when he had completed his studies, he came to join the Hylian Knights.
He quickly proved that he was not fit to be a Hylian Knight and that he simply did not have the martial prowess, or attitude, necessary to fight as a Hylian Knight. He was quickly removed from active duty, but his skills with alchemy and enchanting were not lost on the royal family, so he was allowed to remain as Hyrule's Court Mage, and they even let him keep a position in the Hylian Knights, even if it was an honorary one. This was where he was truly allowed to shine, allowing him to help keep Hyrule's prosperity going, as well as help keep the Hylian Knights as one of the most well-armed fighting forces in the world.

[attr="class","resetapptext"]Hylian Shield: Jace's Hylian Shield that he received upon being accepted into the Hylian Knights. He has no idea how to use it, so it adorns his wall. Like all Hylian Shields, it is able to shield from minor magical attacks.
Jace also possesses an alchemy set, a ton of books on magic, writing utensils, and so on.

[attr="class","resetapptext"]Alchemist: Jace is an accomplished alchemist, able to make new materials and items from different materials and items. Most notably, he is able to form gold from nearly any metal, accounting for the vast amount he wears. Unfortunately (for him, maybe) as Jace has no combat capabilities, it is safe to assume that he can't put this to any real use for combat.
Staff Making: On top of his enchantment and alchemy, Jace has taken up the art of crafting staves. Yes, for those interested and willing to actually post with Jace, can't be done OOCly, Jace may be willing to craft a custom staff for those with an open magic slot for an (in character) price! Naturally, he got rid of the Obsidian Tower because once he can, he's going to make a new, and better improved model! For the first level, Jace managed to acquire a source of ironwood. This allows him to make any crafted staves exceptionally durable, allowing them to take extremely punishing blows.
Magic Upgrade #1 (Lieutenant): Enchantment
Tying into his Alchemical capabilities, Jace is also able to magically enchant any object he comes across. However, it takes great concentration and plenty of time. He can't just make something magic on the fly, and even for an Archmagus like him, it still takes about a day to enchant something. He mainly uses this to enchant the Hylian Shields of the Hylian Knights, and arm said Knights with magic weapons or armor or other items if they wish.

Magic Upgrade #1: Warlock's Torch
Any staff crafted by Jace has the ability to emit light at the head of the staff. Nothing really fancy, but good if you need some light in a really dark place or something, or you want some light to read by but don't want to set a fire.
Magic Upgrade #2: Warlock's Thermoscope
Along with the ability to emit a light, said light also has the ability to emit heat or cold. It can't scald or freeze or anything, it can just make the immediate temperature just a bit more chilly or a bit more warm. Good for those who want to keep cool wandering a volcano or who want to go in a blizzard but forgot their winter gear!
Magic Upgrade #3: Warlock's Contract
Lastly, any staves crafted by Jace can only be used by their intended wielders... and Jace. He does need a bit of the client in the crafting for that though. Strand of hair will do just fine~
